97% of alimony payments are made by men, should feminist be fighting to make that equal?
- I do not understand alimony must be an America thing, iread it on another question and answered.
To me it's greedy, the ex has no intention of getting off the porky fat arse and get themselves a job but rather scrounge of their ex forever... that's right a parasite.. If I had children with ex, I'd say well I need enough to cover food and clothes for the kids which is child support and that's different.. But taking money from ex to live life of extravagance, that's a piss take
If I married and divorced id want nothing.. I work I earn my own money why would I want anything to do with an ex let alone his money? Its disgusting!0|00|1Is this still revelant?Men and women should stand together to get rid of it... Nothing to do with feminism, more to do with the unfairness directed at men
Well I’ve been told feminist care about equality so why not change something that isn’t equal

I agree but if it exist then men can be afraid to end up depressed because they have to pay a girl they don’t even like anymore.
Why would they just get rid of feminism? What about all hate groups? MGTOW and Red Pills believe in blaming rape survivors instead of the rapist, they don’t believe in child support, alimony, they do not believe a sector of society deserves the same basic human rights. What kind of a woman are you? I’m a dude and I still see how ignorant you are.

- Not if the husband asks for a stay at home house wife.
My husband wouldn’t have to pay me alimony. I’d have more money and I’d be the one taking the assets.0|00|1Is this still revelant? Why would a woman choose to stay at home unless she plans to get alimony later in life
Some women prefer to devote their time to their kids at home and being the role of the homemaker.
Yeah if you choose to stay at home, the man should know that he is responsible for her, but society isn’t like that anymore, even men in common law relationship end up paying for alimony

You’re full of garbage. People get married with the intent on staying married. You’re a bum for putting women down too. Weak azz
Yeah but statistics show most married people don’t know what they’re doing regardless of what their intent is.

- The alimony system in itself need not change. If it works properly, it’s distributed (or at least it depends on your country) on the basis of which person has a large decrease in disposable income. Those tend to be women due to often maternal obligations and different career changes.
Hence, women get alimony because they generally earn less. They’d get less alimony if they’d earn more.0|10|0Is this still revelant? The fight for equal pay assumes that there’s a structural difference between men’s and women’s wages that is due to discrimination as opposed to choice by the employee.

Again, the idea of that wage gap is that there is a wage difference beyond choice or performance but due to discrimination.
And for the record, there is a lot of evidence that performance and choice in e. g. do not explain like 5% of wage differences between men and women.I’m not even left. But your later question was just ridiculous.
The entire point was that the fight for the wage gap is about there not being a choice or performance thing determining wage differences and then you ask “but should performance determine wage”.Performance doesn’t determine wage? You literally get a raised based on your performance. So by lifting more you can out perform your co-worker. Which why my question is valid. But if you think it’s ridiculous then you and I look at life in the same way so there no point in having a discussion about it.
Yeah true, I should have said that they do not fully determine the wage, but that’s pretty obvious if you pay any attention to the entire debate on wage gap.
And no, that question was clearly not valid given that I literally stress in my answer they argue things beyond performance/choice determine wageI’m not in a physically demanding job and I’m making more than a woman who has more qualifications than I do. Stop being a one sided selfish man child.
- Women don’t make as much as men. That’s why they get alimony. by the way plenty of men are getting alimony. I think feminists fighting for the wage gap to decrease has increased men gettjj in big alimony payments.0|00|1Is this still revelant?
97% doesn’t seem fair to me, and if women made more money than men they wouldn’t find any man attractive
Due to men’s rights activists they are getting rid of it anyways. Alimony is calculated based on income. Women generally sacrifice their career to raise children and take care of the home. What you’re saying is if you decide to cheat and beat like most men did before alimony she and the children would be penniless. Want fairness? Fight for everyone’s rights, not just men’s. Men take money from women all the time.

Modern feminism is about supremacy.
It's why the concept of equality is a joke.0|10|1
