07- Wait, so when this happened under Trump it was fake and it was all due to Obama, but now, even though Biden is not the president (electoral college hasn't voted yet), its all due to biden? Funny how quick the lefts narrative changes the moment they think they can use it to manipulate others. The stockmarket is going to crash if Biden wins, just because it hasn't now doesn't mean it won't. Likely you'll pull the "see how much better the economy is doing under Biden" card and forget to mention that the only reason why it fell apart was due to DEMORATS locking down the country and stopping our economy. Its what you people do, you manipulate and lie but the weird part isn't that you do it constantly (I mean literally your views and arguments change by the hour), its that despite the fact that you do it constantly your still so bad at it. Guess practice doesn't make perfect after all.0|00|0
What's really funny is that you were fine when Trump took credit for the stock market going up right after the election starting in early November, 2016 but Biden can't get credit cause that manipulates others? How fucking hypocritical are you clowns? The stock market already crashed under Trump. It isn't going to crash under Biden even though I'm sure that's your wet dream.
But that wasn't even the real point of the question. The real point was how Trump uses lies and fear to manipulate simpleminded people's emotions. And you low IQ mouth breathers drink it down like it's Kool-Aid laced with scotch. You have the audacity to accuse Democrats of trying to manipulate people? That's rich.
And as far as locking down the country, we have a Republican president and there are 50% more Republican governors than there are Democratic governors so HOW THE HELL DID THE DEMOCRATS LOCK DOWN THE COUNTRY AND STOP THE ECONOMY? Explain that one to me. If after 14 million infected and 275,000 deaths and us in the middle of a dramatic spike, the worst of the whole pandemic, if you can still sit there with your thumbs fingering your overalls still claiming nothing should have ever been locked down because it hurt the economy, there are no words to describe how stupid that is. Here's what you're not bright enough to understand. You can have as many things open as you want but people won't go there if they are scared of dying. Period.I haven't given Biden credit because he hasn't done anything yet, he hasn't even managed to get elected yet. If biden gets elected and then removes all the tax reductions trump put forth, puts back all the regulations on business that Trump removes and our economy does better, then Biden gets credit for that, but he has to actually do something first before he can get credit for it. Meanwhile your still trying to argue that what Trump did doesn't count because you don't like it while claiming what Biden didn't do (because he isn't president, hasn't been elected, and thus hasn't produced any policies or changes) should be credited to him. The stock market didn't crash under Trump, thats stupid. It was rising until DEMOCRATS shut down the entire country, then it crashed. You don't get to pick the parts you like and ignore the parts you don't.
Trump doesn't lie, the left does trump doesn't (hyperbole yes, lies no). I mean the left claimed Biden won the election but the electoral college doesn't even vote on it until a few weeks from now, hell democrats were calling the election for biden before all states had finished counting. Your lying about trump, your lying non stop about everything because the idea that some one could be better then you is intolerable.
As for the low IQ remark, its rather ironic that a leftist would say that considering we have literal studies showing that leftist are less knowledgable about economics, history, civics, have lower reading comprehension skills and lower critical thinking skills then conservatives and they are far less likely to get their information from multiple sources, choosing instead to stick to leftist news outlets while conservatives will get information from multiple sources. But hey, what ever it takes to make yourself feel special for doing jack shit right? I mean who needs to be a better person, who needs to be smarter, who needs to put in the actual work of being a more moral and benevolent person when you can just claim to be while sitting on your ass doing jack shit?
As for democrats, democrat states. We have multiple democrat states and those places are the ones that suffered most, texas was open and did fine, same with nebraska and multiple other states. But you cut out states and your going to see a drop. Also democrats still had a quite a bit of power, they have lost it since the election of course, but they had it before and they still run all of hollywood and the media (over 90% of journalists are on the left according to multiple studies) and Trump, not being a dictator despite what the left has claimed, allowed states to decide what was best for their state and democrats chose poorly.
- Show All Show Less
As for the "Scared of dying" are you fucking with me? First off the experts (CDC) that you tell us to listen to have pointed out that only 6% of the deaths attributed to coronavirus were actually caused by coronavirus (meaning our death toll is tens of thousands (less then the flu) not hundreds of thousands as claimed), they have also pointed out that it has anywhere between a 99.7% survival rate to a 99.993% survival rate for every one under the age of 70. Meanwhile what do we here from the far leftist media? Every one is going to die because of coronavirus (even though all the things I mentioned shows otherwise and the death rate has been dropping steadily despite reports of "thousands of new cases"(almost all of which are asymptomatic but lets ignore that minor detail (because if their is one thing leftist do best, its ommit pertinent facts in an attempt to manipulate people).
Also what did the leftist mob do when conservatives called out the lock downs and even performed peaceful (provably) protests? Oh yeah, cracked down and spread propaganda that conservatives were evil and violent (despite not doing anything violent) and we hated people and wanted them to die. Then of course what did they say when the left started rioting, looting, killing, and burning down cities in "protest"? that this was perfectly acceptable, it was not going to cause a spike in coronavirus cases because they were "protesting" for the right reasons (and it was "mostly peaceful" despite dozens of deaths, millions in property damage and multiple buildings being burned to the ground some of which still had people in them).
Just like a leftist to try and play victim and project onto conservatives what you yourself are doing.I'm not going to even try to have a rational discussion with someone so clueless, so incredibly ill informed, so immune to actual facts and data that he actually thinks Texas "did fine" or the survival rate is 99.993% for people under 70 or this stupid shit you idiots keep repeating that the deaths caused by covid were actually only 6% of the reported total. I could explain to you how that statisitic has been twisted and misrepresented, but what's the fucking point, right? You don't want to actually understand why that's wrong. You just want to spit out whatever buillshit your right wing blogs and media and websites have drilled into you. Believe what idiotic nonsense your right wing masters have commanded you to believe. There is no ability to have a discussion with someone who's been so completely and utterly brainwashed. And by the way, your peaceful protesters were plotting to kidnap a sitting governor and quite possibly execute her. But that's not evil and violent. Not at all.. Just good old militia boys out having fun.
I forgot to mention this part. "Trump doesn't lie". Are you fucking kidding me? ROTFLMAO. He provably lies (Not hyperbole... LIES) 15-30 times A DAY. Google anything related to "factchecking Trump" and see for yourself. But you're not going to do that cause you don't really want to know. Just easier to stay in the echo chamber. Dude, let us know when you're prepared to rejoin reality.
I like how leftists call every one ignorant when they are the ones completely out of touch with reality. I know their is no use speaking to some one with your woefully inadequate intellectual ability or complete lack of self awareness, but here is some sources to that data that you can then ignore while telling yourself that your smarter and better then every one else (because your the poster child for the dunning-krueger affect, to stupid to know how stupid you are).

- Anonymous1 moFirst off, the election isn't certified by the electoral college yet and the media isn't the almighty one who declares the winner. Secondly, it's still Trump's economy, Biden hasn't had shit to do with it yet since he isn't in office.
If he is the winner and gets inaugurated, then it becomes his. That's when everything will carry over to him and we will see if the geriatric old geezer can actually do something for once, given it's taken him over 47 years to do something in politics in general.0|00|2You guys were happy enough to accept Trump as the winner and start jerking yourselves off when the media declared Trump won the election in 2016? I didn't hear a single one of you say "whoa, let's wait for the electoral college before we start celebrating". Why should it be different now other than of course Trump lost this time?
And Trump was only too happy to take credit for the stock market increases starting the day after his election in 2016. Every chart he shows of stock market increases starts in November 2016 so I'm not clear why it would be wrong to do the same with Biden's victory. Are you really trying to tell me the massive stock market rally has nothing to do with the outcome of the election?
Any thoughts on what would appear to be a double standard?
- I mean, the central banks in the world are supplying money hard, the major ones guarantee to be lender/dealer of last resort, there are positive prospects for economic growth next year.
I’d be surprised if it would go down continuously at these times, especially with all the central bank intervention.
And yeah, a major part of the increase of stock markets the last half year or so has been COVID-policies by the ECB, BofE and FED. That also explains the super high rate relative to earlier decades. The current measures of central banks were basically introduced in 2008 and are still unorthodox, but they do drive up the stock markets hard.0|00|0 - The stock market is an unstable environment but it's up and metals are down
I know metal and metal does well in chaos be it actual chaos or just financial calamity
Metals rose when Trump entered office, they've fallen since he left
The vaccines will have had a hand in the matter along with rises in both the stock market and cryptocurrency0|00|0 - The stock market always jumps when a new president is elected. Idiots think that things will change for the better. The stock market rose when Donald was elected.0|10|1
That's actually not true. According to CNBC
"In election year Novembers since 1944, the S&P 500 has risen, on average, of 0.8%, according to CFRA and S&P Dow Jones Indices data. That’s not great — it is actually considerably lower (by 600 basis points) than the average for all Novembers since 1944. And the stock market rose less than half the time (42%) in election-year Novembers — or in other words, the frequency of gains was lower — compared to gaining 66% of the time for all Novembers over the past eight decades."
Regardless, the main point of this question was more to expose the ridiculousness of Trump's fearmongering about a stock market crash if Biden got elected rathet than analyzing the reasons for the stock market's rise after the election.
www.cnbc.com/.../...tion-according-to-history.htmlOf course Donald is ridiculous, but the stock market always goes up when a new US president is elected. Every new elected US president: the stock market jumped up.
The article I attached doesn't break it down between newly elected and re-elected but if I had the time and enough interest, it would be interesting to see if that is actually true beyond just seeing that it happened for Biden and Trump. It went up for Trump because Wall Street saw him as a guy who would slash regulations and they liked that. It went up for Biden probably because he's not Trump.
- That’s not how the stock market works 😂😂😂0|00|1
Maybe someone should have let Trump know when he was trying to scare everyone? LOL.
It depends on the time frame Trump was talking about. Presidents have a long term impact on the stock market, but Biden will inherit Trump's (frankly pretty damn good) economy, just like Trump inherited Obama's.
- Show All Show Less
Pretty damn good economy? That might have been true a year ago but I don't know if you've looked out the window lately but the economy is in the shitter. We all understand why but that's what Biden is inheriting right in the middle of a pandemic.
Even with a vaccine you don't just snap your fingers and turn the economy back on like a light switch. It's going to require a lot of skill and effort to pair various stimuli with the right monetary policy along with business incentives to get things restarted let alone get it back to where it was prepandemic. And all this while trying to make sure the deficit doesn't further spiral out of control. It's nothing like what Trump inherited and more like the shitshow Obama was handed in 2008.The two aren’t remotely comparable. Trump’s policies have allowed the economy to recover as much as it has and will foster growth moving forward.
The economy has recovered as much as it has because it reached depression level contraction and as states started to reopen and businesses started to open up again, there was bound to be some sort of rebound. That's just math. It had nothing to do whatsoever with any of Trump's "policies" but if you actually believe that, why don't you share with me 2 ior 3 of his policies during the pandemic that have specifically helped the economy start to grow back, other than telling his followers to harrass blue state governors to reopen fully even though it was clearly not safe yet. What are these policies of which you speak?
I didn’t say policies during the pandemic, I said policies during his presidency. Policies which you yourself have acknowledged improved the economy. Although I would argue that operation warp speed and the small business supplemental income has helped... somewhat. The way trump handled COVID has been pretty horrible.
If you talk about policies that were helping the economy "recover", you must be talking about the pandemic because other than that, there was nothing for the economy to "recover" from. You said yourself Trump inherited a good economy from Obama. He just didn't screw it up.
The only thing he actually did was the tax cut which was designed to benefit the very rich and corporations the most and skyrocketed our budget deficit. A tax cut is supposed to stimulate job creation but companies just used it to buy back stock and they didn't need to create more jobs cause unemployment was already very low. It was incredibly bad policy and just designd to get everyone to 'like" him. The only other polices were the unbelievable slashing of corporate regulations which meant companies could pollute water and air and take away worker safety protections. It had a temporary effect on corporate profits but a long term horrible effect on the environment.
You claimed there are policies I "have acknowledged improved the economy". I'll give you the benefit of the doubt you're not just putting words in my mouth so please refresh my memory, which policies was I referring to?
Bottom line, Trump inherited a thriving growing, economy and despite the policies I referenced here which were bad, managed not to screw it up. The small business supllemental income was the bill Congress put together. he just signed it. Those are not "his policies". And any success from operation warp speed has been overshadowed by the thousands who have died needlessly because of his inaction and lies about the severity of the virus.
So I'll ask you again, SPECIFICALLY, which of his economic polices prepandemic are you thinking were so great? The economy Trump inherited was certainly better than the one Obama inherited. . Any how, these are the Trump policies I cite as beneficial to the American economy: The TCJA, which lowered America's corporate tax rate and provided unskilled labor, he modified the Clean Power Plan to force the EPA to take action to reduce carbon emissions and stimulate power industry jobs, he increased tariffs on Chinese and other foreign goods to increase reliance on American made products, he also legislated the U. S. M. C. A which is a North American trade agreement. www.cato.org/.../grading-trumps-economic-policies
I didn't even want Trump in office, but why in god's name was Biden, fucking Biden, seriously the best we could come up with? You wanna talk about incompetence; that man is incompetent.
I think the problem here is that you're so set on Trump being a bastard that you can't accept the possibility that the guy might have done something well. Here's another article: little bite size pieces of analysis. I wouldn't want you to choke on anything. www.thebalance.com/donald-trump-economic-plan-3994106
@winterfox10 Don't be condescending with me, kid. I've forgotten more about economic and fiscal policy than you'll ever know. USMCA, is just Nafta with a new name. The changes were completely minor and inconsequential. China tariffs led to China putting tariffs on our goods and cutting off the purchase of so much agricultural product, Trump had to spend billions aid to U. S. farmers to keep them afloat from the loss. Billions just eedlessly pissed away. And those tariffs on China are not paid by China as everyone but Trump seems to understand, they are paid by importers, U. S. companies who pass along the cost to you the consumer. So you know who paid those tariffs? YOU DID and so did I. He failed miserably on that one.
And as I think I've already explained to you more than once, in theory lowering the corporate tax rate was supposed to stimulate job creation. All the data shows none of that happened. The corporations used the money and bought back stock. They didn't need to hire more anyway. You don't hire more employees cause you got a tax break. You hire more people cause the demand for your products increased. Any second year econ major could tell you that. It did nothing to stimulate job growth which we didn't even need cause unemployment was so low already. It just skyrocketed the deficit. And he's done nothing good for or with the EPA. He puts a coal industry lobbyist in charge of it which is the proverbial fox guarding the henhouse. They've done nothing but slash regulations and hollow out the agency of actual scientists and career non partisan administrators. The EPA came in and raised the allowable emission standards for gas powered vehicles that the major automakers had already agreed to with several states... for no reason. So don't talk about his wonderful Clean Power plan with me.@winterfox10 You need to stop thinking just because people dsilike Trump, that's the reason they can't see all the good things he's doing. If you understood more about economics, fiscal policy and international trade, you would be capable of seeing through the shiny paper these lumps of coal were wrapped with and wouldn't think these policies are "good" cause they're not. They're not good at all.
I understand plenty about economic policy. I studied this stuff in college and I’m a profitable investor now. I’m getting condescending with you because only a fool would think that the right way to solve the problems they have with today’s society, is to go back to doing things in old ways. The old ways, which led right to where we are now. Your boy Biden is nominating war mongering career DC insiders who directly profited off the Middle East conflicts. You’re talking about doing the same things over again and expecting different results; that is the definition of insanity.
You're a profitable investor? Oh well, why didn't you say so? Wow, that's impressive considering we're in the middle of the greatest bull market in history. Good for you! Oh, and you studied "this stuff" in college. Too bad you were on your phone when it was being taught as you clearly know nothing about it. Seriously, this is quite possibly your dumbest comment yet.
You mentioned what you thought were Trump's greatest policies and I exposed each one as either poorly thought out, ineffective and self serving or just a rebranding of an Obama policy or trade agreement so it would now have Trump's name on it like one of his hotels. So much for his great policies.
So doing things the old ways when we were a respected, influential world power and the economy was experiencing continued steady growth was really bad? Doing things the old ways when we had tight, productive alliances with our closest allies instead of crapping all over them and weren't legitimizing wannabe dictators and telling them do whatever you want cause we won't stop you? Doing things the old ways when we weren't gushing about love letters dictators sent us while they played us in front of the whole world? Those old ways?
And what the fuck are you talking about Biden nominating "war mongering career DC insiders"? Nominating competent and respected professionals who have a lifetime of experience in their particular field instead of cronies, supporters and lobbyists who try to destroy the very agency they are put in charge of is a bad thing according to you? Nominating a widely respected career diplomat to be U. N. ambassador instead of the wife of a billionaire coal mining executive who've donated millions to Trump's campaigns as just one example is a bad thing? In almost every case, Biden's nominations are infintely superior in experience and expertise in their area than almost anyone Trump nominated. And who exactly is a war monger from his potential nominations? Trump is trying to provoke a war with Iran on his way out the door and you're calling respected career professionals war mongers? Are you kidding me?
Dude, you honestly have no idea what you're talking about. You're just another ill informed, poorly educated Trump cultist who just repeats the bullshit he hears and has little ability to discern fact from propaganda. You're worse than most though because most Trump cultists know deep down they are not very smart. You actually appear to think you're informed cause you "studied this stuff in college". LOL.What are you talking about man? They're literally all Washington insiders who worked with companies that have been involved in some of the most major scandals of the last 30 years. people.com/.../
Also; I'm not a Trump supporter, I just recognize that Biden represents going back to the establishment that led us to exactly where we are now."They're literally all Washington insiders who worked with companies that have been involved in some of the most major scandals of the last 30 years."
What the fuck are you talking about? What companies? What scandals? From you're own article "In the month since he won the election against Donald Trump, Biden has been building out his Cabinet with a who's-who of Washington". These are some of the top minds and experts available who have years of experience in their fields and are widely respected by both Democrats and Republicans. How is this a bad thing? Dude, you are straight up out of your fucking mind. It's not delusion man.

When you couldn't find anything bad to say about Janet Yellen former Chairwoman of the Fed and one of the most respected people in the world but had to assassinate her character somehow to fit your agenda, and you went with "She’s in bed with big banks like Fannie May" you just lost whatever tiny amount of credibility you had left. She was defending herself from people who thought she and the regulations she imposed WERE TOO TOUGH ON BANKS. This is your documentation and proof that she is in bed with Fannie Mae.
