"Violence is never the answer." Agree or Disagree?

- What about defending your nation against an encroaching power with vile values? Wasn't violence the answer for Poland trying to fight off the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany.
So that was merely defense you might say. Alright what of terrorism. Was violence not the best and frankly only answer against ISIS? Had proper retaliation come sooner, perhaps an entire group of people (the Yazidis) wouldn't have been wiped out from the face of the earth without the world lifting a finger.
As with many modern and superficial sayings it sounds nice, but it isn't reality. War is a ubiquitous fact of this world until Jesus returns. So violence is indeed often the only answer to the oldest question of humanity.0|10|0Is this still revelant?America supports isis we bomb assad whos fighting isis for using chemical weapons on isis. but we give money jews in israel gas arab christain and muslim hospitals with same gas. America kills every leader that fights isis. Since nixon and reagan America used violence make money rather then keep world peace. America wants to destabalize middle east.
@israelisevil America was part of the coalition that ended ISIS in the Middle East.
No it wasn't ISIS is IS now and Bashar al assad is fighting them in syria. america gives money to syrian rebels wich are run by isis. ronald reagan second most evil president besides nixon gave muja hadeen almost a billion in 70s one set of muja hadeen that takes over in 80s is alqueada. America carelessly throws money to terrorists to destabalize nations. Bush had children sodomized in abu grahib. Obama killed gadaffi cause he was gunna rebuild africa and end exploitation by western companies. Trump bombed syrias chemical weapons that they used on isis. Obama started a plan fund israel use same gas on palestinian christain/muslim hospitals make a jewish aparteid state so its very hypocritical. Edjucate yourself dont beleive spoonfed information from the mainstream media.

@israelisevil You're raving. Trump just gave you the Abraham Accords give you peace with your neighbours for the first time in history. Do not speak of American plots to destabilize the Middle East like some conspiracy theorist.
- Unfortunately, sometimes it is. I don’t know the name of the situation, but I feel like there is a particular idiom that describes what I am wanting to say. Basically, but if everyone is reasonable and intelligent, then violence is not necessary. But, there are times when reasonable people are going to be forced into violence by violent/unreasonable people. That is to say, if no one were violent, then there would be no need for violence. But that perfect world is not the world we live in.0|10|0Is this still revelant?

837- Honestly, I feel like the world is a more insolent place because of the “violence is never the answer” principle. It probably makes society a little more orderly in terms of brawls not breaking out everywhere you turn, but I don’t think it’s good for the human persona to be walking around acting like you can do a lot of shit that SHOULD get you banged out but doesn’t.
I was arguing with my dad about something like this, he’s basically arguing for the anti-PC speech movement, not getting “cancelled” for things you say, etc. And I was kind of like “yeah, fine... I kind of go by the rule of “don’t let your tongue get your teeth knocked out.” You can say absolutely anything that comes across your mind to whoever you want, I can’t reasonably expect people’s speech to be actively controlled. The flip side to my concept is that, in response, people, if offended, can do whatever they feel is warranted in retaliation, including violence. The way I see it, everybody is free to do or say as they please, technically, but what will really keep us honest is knowing that we have no protection from their response. It was just funny to see my dad nodding in approval at the first part of “say what you want”, and then immediately switch to shaking his old man jowls side-to-side saying “no” at the proposition of getting held physically accountable. So I just had to laugh, I’m like “ok... so want to be able to be as rude and inconsiderate and ignorant as you want, but you’re totally protected from repercussions?” I mean, that’s just ridiculous. Violence is our naturally-given way to 1) protect ourselves from threats defensively, but also 2) to keep others honest and offensively impose your own will. To say any different, to me, is just completely ignoring the natural clues all around us. As-is nature and it’s codes scare the shit out of humans, most of our society is based around aversion of natural rules in favor of artificial shit that we just decided was more comfortable.0|10|0 - Well its not a good solution because hate and violence just breeds more hate and violence but even if you destroy all of your opponents it doesn't make you 'right' in a true sense, it simply establishes your view or agenda as the currently, publicly accepted one, but strength fades and it cannot endure.
You can kill a man, they are just meat but you can't kill an idea.
There is however no getting away from the simple fact that violence is used to force the acceptance of views constantly, it always has been and it will continue to be used for the forseeable future, the main problem with this i believe is that everyone who understands the futility of violence doesn't use it and without force behind ideas its hard for them to compete for, 'market share', i guess. Its kind of a case of trying to get people to listen and all realise this at the same time, i think we are in for a long wait.0|10|0 - People who say that always believe somebody else will do violence for them (cops, military). Hilarious how people living in lands that once belonged to native americans and were won in bloody wars talk about how wrong violence is. Not that there aren't other ways of doing things (diplomacy). It's just hypocritical to benefit from something you claim to not believe in.
So I disagree with "violence is never the answer." That said, most people aren't anywhere near smart enough to anticipate the fallout from the violence they can do. There's lots of instances where someone started a civil war thinking it would be over in a few days/week and the war went on for decades. They started something thinking it would be good for their kids but it was actually what got their kids killed.0|10|0 - Disagree. Violence is never the first answer, it is the last one. If all else fails then you use violence because if words don't work, if legal actions don't work then all your left with is allowing for some one to continuelly wrong you OR to use violence to make them not want to wrong you again.0|10|0
Legal action crueller then violence jail is far more traumatic then a jumping or beating.
- Anonymous1 moThe left is openly advocating violence. They are justifying it. I think that their violence should be met with overwhelming violence. There is no violence in their neighborhoods. It needs to be brought to their homes. They are promoting the violence until it shows up in hollywood or Beverly hills.
If any placed deserved to be burned to the ground, it is hollywood. They are responsible for mistreating every minority ever. Burn it down. Burn down all of the movie studios. Burn down the lots. Do it for racial justice. Take back the money from people like harvey weinstien0|10|0 - Violence works, which is why governments maintain armies and police.
It is also why the effete and cowardly elite seek to programme the minds of the sheeple with the idea that violence is wrong.
We are many, they are few.
When the pitchforks and torches come, the elite fall.0|20|0 - Violence isn’t an answer 99.9% of the time. There are times when violence is an answer someone attacks you for example or you have to defend a women for being raped or another society threatens your society with war. This is when violence is the answer0|10|0
- If somebody did something like kill a family member or a friend of mine, peace is not up for negotiation.
I wouldn't feel the least bit sorry about killing them in revenge either. People who don't want to be harmed leave other people alone and just live peaceful lives.
If you kill other people without a damn good reason, then you are just marking yourself as a target for lethal revenge and rightfully so.0|10|0 - Depends.
is there any record of a pack of hungry wolves being talked out of stealing a farm animal?
Some violence is always necessary. Not because it is an evil, but a tool to be used only sparingly and never with gusto.0|10|0 - I disagree but the only kind of violence I think is fine is if you beat up the person who bullies you. I have seen that it has worked but also have seen that in some cases it hasn't.0|10|0
@jeremy_09 Don't protect girls. They say they don't need men, so let them do it themselves. No woman is worth getting maimed or killed over.
