Does the Biden Administration mean no more economy, no more freedom, and that Covid deaths/cases will triple?

Well, you can't get rid of the economy; as long as you have human interaction, you have one of those. Since Biden seems very lockdown-happy, and many Democratic governors seem to be hoping for a bailout, we're probably going to see more widespread economic damage than we would have with another Trump administration (from that particular cause, at least).

Covid cases are likely to go an increasing, though; the virus is mutating, and like every other similar virus, will keep becoming more contagious and less lethal, until it eventually works its way into the usual seasonal rotation, just like H1N1 did. Deaths, though? Those will go down, due to the easily kills having happened under Trump's tenure, and the disease becoming less lethal. It was known from beginning that locking down would cause more people to die from the virus, but it wasn't MANY more. Of course, as we enter month eleven of our two-week lockdown, that's probably no longer true; had we sent out the young and strong to get infected and recover during the summer, BEFORE everyone's mental health was shot to hell, we'd've built our herd immunity and this nonsense would've been over. But no, cowardice and selfishness were the order of the day, and we've mortgaged the future of our entire overculture for the sake of buying our housebound isolated octogenarians a few more miserable months.

And that leads directly into the freedom issue. Remember when Obama was running for President, and he promised to overturn the Patriot act and undo all the horrible abuses of power of Dubya's administration? At the same time, Biden was boasting about how he'd WRITTEN the Patriot act and tried to pass it through Congress years earlier (not quite true, but the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995 WAS pretty darn close; Biden SAID he wrote it in response to the Oklahoma city bombing, but that attack was in April and the bill went before Congress in February, TWO MONTHS EARLIER). I've repeatedly called the man "a walking war on the bill of rights", and while I definitely stand by that, I would absolutely LOVE to be wrong. (Please feel free to show me up, Joe; prove me incorrect and I'll happily make a whole SERIES of public apologies!).

When Kavanaugh was confirmed, I found myself saying "thank goodness that horribly underqualified boob got appointed to the Supreme Court"- an odd sentiment, but given the alternative was the complete breakdown of due process and the rise of Guilt By Accusation, it was definitely the better option. Now I fear in a few months' or years' time, I'm going to be saying "thank goodness that horribly hypocritical bigot [Kamala Harris] is now the President". I fear there are some dark times ahead.

Under trump, we already had no more economy, less freedom, and Covid death more than tripled. Biden was handed a royal mess by Trump. They wouldn't even allow his team full access to information on many fronts. This will cost more American lives, and things will get worse, before they get better. But things will definitely be better than they would have been under Trump.

Corporations keep the money they get tax relief for, it doesn't go to the workers, so let's tax the corporations the way they tax the workers and give relief to the working class.
