If you were given your own country to rule, what title would you take?

Oh man, being a dictator is up there on my bucket list. First order of business would be surface to air missiles, next surface to surface, then the nuclear energy program to help my poor downtrodden citizens get out of the slave labor I put them into so we could become a strong military dictatorship like North Korea, not a weak one Like Iraq.

Then begins blaming every other nation for the misfortunes I'm suffering so I can fabricate claims to A. gain foreign aid and B. invade them if they're weaker and don't pay the tribute. South America would be ideal, I like people who are already used to the murder, brutality and go along with it as long as it offers something, central and south america seem ideal for that.

No elections, no checks, no balances, just me, a ridiculously armed country, and the beauty of asymmetrical warfare conducted through proxies. I can already hear machetes hitting bone. The trick is to attack through proxies and get the other country to kill one of your "innocent" citizens so you have a casus belli that will stand up long enough to invade your other neighbors.

The idea of a king or queen is stupid, to me. Royal bloodlines are stupid.

Not choosing president because the real world has proven the system has become broken and unreliable. MAYBE a president if we had a decent form of democracy or a republic better than the current US or European system rife with corruption and fraud.

And I don't want to be a Supreme Leader Snoke. You'd get up your own ass too much.

I vote for a new kind of Emperor/Empress system where they have to compete in a series of trials, ranging from intelligence, government rule, popularity, strength, etc. Kind of like the Olympics for presidents, mixed with a Wakandan king battle. Our leader would be the smartest and most bad-ass person for the job, and the "Emperor Trials" would be checked throughout the years to be full-proof and fair, so that even if you're not the strongest guy or girl, you can still win.

So I vote "other" with a little mix of option C, as well, as "Emperor/Empress" as well.

High King by grace of God. I'd be a monarch supported by parliament for power balance, and I would also work with a smaller Council of the Realm similar to the House of Lords consistent of the most influential, merited and powerful members of society elected by me, but their titles would be knights, as in Sirs to mirror medieval structures which I greatly love. The parliament would be legislative, and me in junction with the council who serve as an advisory body to me, would be judiciary, with the ability for myself to exercise veto on legislative actions taken by parliament that I disagree with. Vetoed propositions cannot be reattempted unless I change my mind on it, however, I am only allowed 5 vetoes per year as to combat power trips.

One seat in the Council would be honorary for my heir, the crown prince or princess, and another permanent seat for the general (first sword) as I as High King will carry the authority to declare peace and war, and therefore will do so in direct communication with the commander in chief. In times of war, the regular members of the Council of the Realm is dismissed and relocated to temporary seats in parliament while the wartime Council is installed consistent of all major officers of the army as well as ambassadors and diplomats, head of secret intelligence. The parliament fully govern the internal affairs while we tend the war and will adapt their policies and actions towards our decisions. Our decisions which will be reported by my administrative second, the King's adjutant, formally known as royal adviser.

Robin Hood as I would take from the rich and give to the poor. I would be like a dictator that is fair to everyone. Yes you can have wealth but you have to pay your workers at least £20 an hour if you have profits over a certain amount. If you have more than 3 kids you get taxed. Stopping mums just living off benefits. Help young people get jobs in areas they have qualifications in instead of forcing them to pack shelves at poundland for free.
I would make by law a 4 day working week too unless you conscent to working more. That means you can employ more people and have less out of work.
Also would make reality TV programs more transparent and do away with falae advertising and In App purchases in games and apps if it for cosmetic reasons only or to pay for in app currency.

I like the title "Counsel". It evokes "Consul" which was the executive branch of the classical Roman Republic. It also captures the element of the executive to lead-he/she/they executes but does not make the laws. Nevertheless, he/she/they often recommends legislation although he cannot mandate it.
