What would you think if this leader were to lead your country? What would you do if he were your leader?

- Anonymous1 mohe was a extremely good administrative leader and won many battles and fought in many wars but he was extremely harsh as in one instance he killed homeless the weak and just people that were less fortunate by burning them alive. there's also accounts of him hating women so much he would kill them by using the impaling method ofcourse feminists or any other humans wouldn't like that. so probably no...0|00|0Is this still revelant?
Do you know that he made an agricultural reform, in which poor people received land to work and earn money?
All these poor people had to do was come and ask for it. Only one beggar from all over the country came before the lord to ask for land.
But when he organized a big party, more than one beggar came to eat and drink for free. Thus, how can we say about people that they were in need when they were actually the burden. They did not want to work, begging being much easier for them.
I don't know any legend about the death of women, except for one, in which a woman was stabbed because of the appearance of her husband who was carelessly dressed when he went to work the land.Vlad arrested several political leaders who were praying in a church for forgiveness from God for their deeds.
The priest asked him if he could forgive them and punish them other than through death.
Vlad asked the priest. "Didn't God tell you not to lie, not to steal, not to want what is someone else's?"
The priest said that these are indeed the laws of God.
Vlad: "If there are laws, then there must be laws. For a sinner to be corrected, ten must die, for 100, a thousand must die. Let him die. Serving the law."
"What can be more just than every man, to be his own judge before the law?"- Show All Show Less
Vlad does not negotiate with criminals.
He set an example for them.
No one has been able to reduce crime in the country as he did.
There was a time in his reign when for a few years no one was killed by him, because they feared his punishment.
He considers it the duty of priests to correct sinners.
His duty was to protect the country.
Criminals knew the laws when they committed crimes, if they don't follow them, they get what they deserve. In the Middle Ages there were many punishments, tortures, flogging, cutting and much more.
He gave only one punishment, all will be equal before the law and death.
How gentle you can be with the people who killed your own father because he made peace.
With people who have corrupted your brother, so that he may dethrone you.
With those who put him in prison for 12 years for false reasons of treason.- Opinion Owner1 mo
do you know seljuk (turkic) leader Alp arslan? when he defeated roman emperor Romanos IV; he said to him what would you do to me if i was your prisoner of war? the roman emperor responded: i would first blind you and then kill you. you know what seljuk leader of Alp arslan responded? he said and i will forgive you and escort you with my bodyguard so you can be safe... that's the difference between Turkish civilized people and your people.
I didn't know that paying a tribute to someone who had never negotiated it was a method of doing good.
Especially when Vlad grew up in Istanbul with the future Sultan Mahoed II.
The future sultan always told Vlad that they were friends and that he had no reason to ask for money.
Vlad always told him he didn't pay you tribute.
Madomed I was the one who demanded the tribute from Vlad's grandfather. The Ottomans did not want peace and Vlad gave them war.
The tribute consisted of agricultural products, handicrafts, women, children for the Ottoman army.
Broken families and women sold for the freedom of the country.
What was the correct price to pay?Vlad wanted an independent and proud country. Not a country that begs for mercy and is a vassal of Turkey.

Well i follow my prophet (Muhammad) peace be upon him but who does vlad follow? satan? look prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said. ''do not harm prisoners'' ''treat people kind'' what did vlad the impaler do? you guessed it be an vicious animal. its the lack of emotional maturity in him and the not be able to put himself in other people shoes who are way more weak insecure and vulnerable. so tell me was your leader (vlad) more arrogant? or my leader (prophet Muhammad peace be upon him)? answer please.,
The impaleing was an Ottoman punishment, Vlad served the Turks with their own medicine.I consider Vlad to have been a much better and glorious leader.
He was a politician and a military man, not a priest.
Priests taught people in those days, and their teachings were the same as today, but the law of the land was different.
Whoever does not obey the law will receive what he deserves.
To this day, Romania mourns Vlad and even I am an admirer of his teachingsI only have two hands, two eyes and I need a thousand.
I didn't want to. I do not want. But must.
It is not the love of God that brings people to church, but the fear of the torments of Hell.
If you are a good man, you have nothing to fear, otherwise your head will fall first!
Don't play with fire, boyars! From the bottom of my heart please. Don't play.
The fulfillment of justice came to resemble a circus.
In vain did you ask the thief not to steal, the murderer not to kill. Prayers are useless.
I will bring those who will be wrongly chosen closer to heaven. This is what Vlad whas saying.
The Romanians are gentle people, that's why we need a shepherd to lead the flock.
I think that even today I would pay tribute to Turkey if Vlad does not teach us those bloody lessons. He gave the same punishment.
Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.
Politicians killed his father and his father was a good lord who worked with the Ottomans to keep the peace.
And Vlad's father was betrayed and killed.
Vlad was an Orthodox Christian but received his education in Istanbul. Why torment the thief when I can put him in front of the fairest of them, God himself?
I don't think Vlad could be fairer than he was.
I am not against capital punishment because I agree with this quote from Vlad.
"If you are a good man, do not be afraid, otherwise your head will fall first!"I personally would exile them to a small island where they would have nothing to come back to earth.
And death by starvation to be inevitable or to survive as they can.I personally would exile them to a small island where they would have nothing to come back to earth.

I don't know what bothers you when Romania has not attacked anyone in history but when we had to defend ourselves we were considered ruthless barbarians and thirsty for blood.I don't know what bothers you when Romania has not attacked anyone in history but when we had to defend ourselves we were considered ruthless barbarians and thirsty for blood.
You should see how big the Ottoman Empire, the Kingdom of Hungary, the Duchy of Poland and the Mongol Golden Horde were.
As a small and inferior military nation, you have to use all the possibilities you have, pre-war attacks, psychological attacks during the war.
If you do not have a country that respects you and fears its own leader, it cannot sustain such a war with such great nations.
Many great leaders of my country were betrayed because they did acts of mercy.
Vlad just secured his back as best he could.
If you know you don't have to steal, why steal? If you know you don't have to kill, why do you kill?
He reduced crime to zero.
He encouraged local trade.
He made the agricultural reform.
He fought for independence.
And he was right in his justice.
He killed those who killed his father
He killed his brother who betrayed him for the crown.
He was closest to killing the leader of the enemy state, the sultan of the Ottoman Empire.
He saved the lives of Ottoman prisoners.Today we have the same problems because there is no one like him.
All thieves flee the country and shame us in the world, our economy is weakening because honest work is not cursed.
We do not have a clear political idea
We have many beggars who would rather beg than work.
And the EU does not allow us to take tougher action.
The last enemy of the country, the communist dictator Ceausescu was shot because he shot us. Eye for an eye
Lord Vlad offered land to beggars, only 1 from all over the country came to ask.
Turkey demanded women and children as a tribute in addition to food and materials. This did no good to the country.
Vlad did justice in the country.
Stefan's cousin from Moldova, who was more merciful, supported Vlad in his actions and released him from the Hungarian prison after 12 years. The robbers who still make fun of our country, and all the countries in the world call us gypsies, do not offer us any reason to be sorry that we want Vlad back.
As far as I know, the majority, maybe even all his execution actions were based on a fair and just judgment.
Personally, I would serve this ruler without hesitation because I know that the reward for my loyalty will be rewarded accordingly.i don't see nothing funny in that shi*t.
We are romanians.
And thous G are the criminals, i don't see any reson to be call in that way just because that shi*t person whas born in my country and don't even identify whit my country at all.You guys bring the gypsis in Romania whit your Ottoman Empire and you you have conquered those territories.
You belong by right to Central Asia, where are all the states with "stan"
You have conquered these nations, now dealing with them.
The Balkan countries have not declared war because you are nice to us.- Opinion Owner1 mo
there's a lot of gypsies in turkey. however i would not wanna go to central asia because I'm only 11.8% central Asian. the rest is greek/italian west Asian and middle eastern. but i would say no i would not wanna go back to central asia. and i dont hate kurds nor do i hate gypsies.
I didn't say go back to Central Asia.
I said you came from there.
You were a migrant people until you conquered the Byzantine Empire, if you conquer a nation you are responsible for it.We Romanians never wanted to take responsibility for another nation, that's why we didn't conquer anyone.
Whoever wanted to come to our country was well received as long as he respected our laws. You're not guilty of what your ancestors did, but that's the context of the conversation.
Yes, I know you wanted to bring Islam here, the most famous case is in 1559 when we had no money and no allies and you came to transform us from vassals into pasalac.
But then I had the brave Michael who made the largest army in my country at that time.
We have been and are counting Christians and so we always want to stay. When I say where you come from, your origins, I also mean how you should behave with the peoples you interact with.
Peoples like you, who were migrants, Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Mongolia... (and colonial countries and other empires are on this list)
They were to be liberal and democratic from the first meeting with other nations. But the story was different.
- If he were around today heâd probably be a different person, it was his upbringing that made him brutal.
Unless he has a similar upbringing, he probably wouldnât be that bad and either way heâd still have to follow the US constitution. Which means he wouldnât be allowed to impale people.
And supposedly George W Bush is related to Vlad the Impaler.0|00|0Is this still revelant?Vlad's education was one of the highest at the time.
He was raised and educated from a young age in Constantinople / Istanbul, at the sultan's court. Something like today, educated as a child only with Harvard professors and surrounded by enemies who want to use you in the future.
Vlad could overthrow the US political system with his little finger if the system of that time were respected today.
If he knew who murdered his father, if he knew and interacted with ordinary people.
Vlad would use the CIA and FBA to remove politicians who bother him by accusing him of serious and incriminating acts in public.
He just needs people's support.Vlad did not respect the laws of the country from the time he raised the country to glory.
A similar move is happening today in an even smaller country Rep. Moldova and the president of that country defy the constitution because it has the support of the population.
That president is a woman named Maia Sandu.

he would likely end up on Tower Hill or swinging from Gibbet0|00|1 - I wouldn't want him to lead my country. Do you think he is cool including history?0|10|0
He in a hero of my country, many people from today Romania dream to have him back from death.

He saved the lives of Ottoman prisoners.Never a traitor.
Yes, he whas very cruel. The moust one.
But he made more good then bad by doing that.
Romania love him, respect him and cry for him.
He die in a fight whit the Ottomans and whas never afraid to fight whit his people in battle.

Alright, it must be someone valuable for you but donât go the path to being racist. Gtg now
You people gone crazy whit the racism.
this is racism > i don't want to use this site because are Nigg*** here
!!! Definition of racism a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race!!!
- vlad was a hero who saved Europe from a muslim army. he did the right thing0|10|0
- I would leave the country as fast as possible. This guy was a nightmare.0|10|0
To bad for you.
You will not be able to see the rise of a poor country by that moment.
But he will let you leave if you don't want to stay, that a good deal.
But he whas one of the best dream of Romania history.
His brother whas way terible. His brother betrayed the country.
He accepted tribute to the Turks
He stopped his brother's agricultural reform
He let rich people own the lands of the country.
It allowed the trade of Hungarian merchants in the country without Hungary allowing the trade of Romanian merchants in Hungary.
As long as Vlad's brother ruled, Radu collapsed the economy a lot and made life difficult for the peasants.
The Romanians rejoiced when Vlad returned to the throne and killed his own brother.- Show All Show Less
I see. I don't think most people here in the US really know that. Thank you for educating me!
- is that vlad the impaler?0|10|0
If he were my leader I wouldnât be happy. People who rule with an iron fist are self serving tyrants.

Iâm sure he did. But just because he did good things doesnât mean that what he did was justified. Possibly it was necessary because it was a different time and the world was a cruel place. But I wouldnât hold him to a high regard.
Most of his executions were based on fair trials and laws known to the people.
His justice was very just, but also the strictest and harshest.Nor is stealing and killing innocent people, but he succed to stop the criminality whit that impaling way. :)
I doubt that statistic. When people are starving they go through great lengths to eat.
People will still commit crimes no matter the punishment. Also in justice, the sentence must reflect the crime. And there is no crime that constitutes being impaled.Hunger was not an excuse in his day.
He made an agricultural reform.
Only one man from all over the country wanted to use it.
The reform presupposed that every man in the country should receive a piece of land for himself and his small family (wife and children).
All the beggars had to do was go to Vlad and prove that they had no land, only a beggar.
But when he had a party with food and drink, many beggars came. He spared a very small number to see what was happening and to say what had happened.
The rescued were forcibly taken from food and drink, they thought they would die, but they saw that they were saved only to watch the deaths of the other beggars.
No one had asked to work and own land. There are many legends about his justice and cruelty, indeed.
But his cruel and bloody actions improved the lives of the needy and brought many great benefits, he was also able to wage a war for the country's independence, even if he did not win it. He died in battle.
