Is our society headed in the right direction?
I did not intend for my question to be limited to expression of ideas on just this site.
@OlderAndWiser Sorry, didn't mean to piss in your Cheerios, but just the thought I had at the time, and when you ask such open questions, you have to expect people will answer them in ways you might not have expected.
It is RELEVANT, because you ask that here, and not on Instagram, or Facebook.
I took no offense at all. I just wanted to invite you to comment on this issue with a large perspective.
@OlderAndWiser depending on the time, and things that have been happening, and much like everyone else, I may be somewhat "out of sorts" and respond in a different way than you would expect, or want.
Or maybe that I would respond, a day hence. . .
However, does it matter much, as you asked a question, and I answered, and it may not be what you expected, but did you ponder it, perhaps a bit, and wonder why?
With the few questions that I posed, I often find several answering in ways that I never expected. Some have been right nice, and caused me to consider, and think over their response.

What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now! I think this country is definitely moving in the wrong direction. The globalists are making their play to enslave humanity. Corporations, media, and much of our government, including Democrats, are right on board.
That is causing more people to wake up and smell the coffee, though. So I'm hoping that we can regain freedom and a working democracy. I'm seeing more and more resistance.
I read every word of your response and respect what you said but one phrase was particularly memorable: "latte-liberals!" I love it. So apt!
it's because people don't talk is why we are in this mess. People too scared and people unwilling to listen objectively.
@Abtraction I have a right to express my views without an aggressive person trying to force me to change my mind.
everyone does, but I feel an attempt should be made. otherwise too many people don't obtain the facts or only get one perspective.
There is one glaring problem with your solution Not all of these dipsticks mature or grow mentally so you will always be harassed.
@DragonXR I would make tests with certain ounces of common sense such as "is racism good?" or let them read a snippet of a difficult situation one can encounter with a child and let them write a reaction. Like "your child confide in you that they are getting bullied... what do you do?" in my father's case it would be: "tell her that it's because she's retarded, even though she does not have mental diagnosis" :D... I do not mean "rocket science smart"... just love your kid but not spoil them, don't be a flat earther and an abusive piece of shit.
I'd also make them do a drug test.
My initial thoughts were IQ tests but are not trustworthy, as you can still have a high IQ and just be manipulative narcissistic garbage :D
I get your point , but sometimes horrible and I mean horrible parents pop out really good kids. Lol
@DragonXR I do not deny that, but it's more for the kid's welfare than for the parents'.
I would not label myself as "great" but for instance I am doing just great career and relationship-wise, but I have PTSD from my asshole abusive father, constant family issues, toxic grandparents, had to literally move x countries so they cannot reach me and if I had just used all that time for studying in peace with some support instead of running and trying to make it own my own - I'd be elsewhere. Almost sold myself off to prostitution as last resort, but heck, I got lucky and it didn't have to come to that.
Jesus Christ!!! I had a follow up question which I'll now pass on asking lol
Thank God you're okay now.
I was going to ask your thoughts on parents spanking their kids. After reading your previous comment I know your answer lol
@DragonXR well I never got spanked and nowadays I kinda consider it weird and bordering pedo stuff with all the 50 shades of grey stuff going on, spanking itself has been sexualized to the extent I don't feel comfortable associating it with kids and TBH I can't relate. Most of the time my mother gave me a slap on the face, ranging from light to not so light, but I never had a bruise when she hit me. I don't recall it as being "the end of the world", especially since I acknowledge that what I did was wrong and I deserved the slap. My father's beatings were more or less abuse, ended with a bloody nose, me just falling to the ground as if someone just yelled "TIMBEEEER" or random bruises and scars. The difference was, that my mother always explained why I deserved it later that day. I puffed my cheeks up and crossed my arms, but in the end I thought about it and found out she was acting on logic. My father just beat me and ignored me for a month or two. Why? WHO KNOWS :D I had to figure out myself, or send a spy (mother) to interrogate him... it would usually end up him not talking to mother either, because he was projecting her onto me and vice versa, but hmmm... who knows :D
@DragonXR there's worse fates, I had my somewhat sane mother to give me values, but I knew this guy whose both parents were meth addicts - his father also an alcoholic and his mother also schizo. She was really nice and kind to me and seemed to like me a lot, it was kinda sad to see her. The guy - really bright fella, talented, gorgeous, open minded, dated him briefly... never got out of there and turned to drugs eventually as well, not meth, but all kinds of others. Broke up with him as he chose the drugs over me, was kinda sad tbh, didn't know about his drug stuff till he brought me home :D
I never took any drugs, but holy moly was I scared for a brief moment while in his house.
I did not ask, "What are your unpopular opinions?" I asked "How do you feel about the pressure to not express opinions which are contrary to the thought police/PC/woke/SJW crowd?"
@OlderAndWiser He must suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). No matter the subject they find a way to put their hatred toward Trump into the subject.
