Is it unreasonable to expect that one day politics won't be hateful or played in a dirty/crooked manner?

we are at the end of an age now. something in this broken system does need to give. but what comes after? its not clear. reform can be done peacefully such as term limits and reasonable restrictions on social media and an internet bill of rights. but its more likely the age of luxury produced such decadent spoiled brats they won't realize we mean business with violence until after we cut their throats. Its a shame because the very wealth that kept them happy is the same thing stopping them from reforming and saving the system.

I will only get worse. Once democrats are kicked out of office they will make the last 5 years seem like a walk in the park and the press will go along with it. Not only that but drastic measures will have to be taken to fix the damage that has already been done.

Yes. Politics are means to an end atm. Be grateful for them, for not with them we'd all be living in chaos. So politics have contributed to your amazing life here in the US. But as time has proven things get better at some point. Worse then better sometimes but better.
