You'd think they'd have the sense to stagger them within each group.
@goaded We're talking about the military right now haha! I'm not sure that "sense" is the right word.
You make an excellent point! :)

Wtf? Pretty sure France saved us tho.
Think of the mess from 40% of our military committing sepekku.
It would send a message that needed to happen.
According to that article 40% are refusing. Ironically, I’ve always believed soldiers should get more rights but I just hoped we could talk them into vaccination
I have a hard time believing 40% are refusing. In my day refusing something like a vaccine was grounds for disciplinary action, including discharge.
Wow. I can only surmise it’s blind polling or something. But maybe health care in the army is more liberal these days. Which I’d be fine with if they all believed what I beleive! Jeez!
Hard to tell. Healthcare in the military is regimented by necessity. Before any deployment there are always vaccines, dental appointments, and check ups. If you are going to deploy a force that may be needed in combat than health issues have to be addressed prior to action.
I just looked at the header and saw it is CNN reporting. When CNN is not schilling for the left they are just making up stories. I don't believe for a second that 40% of Marines are refusing a mandated vaccine. Now if the vaccine is NOT mandated that is a different story.
The USAF is similar in that they're requiring those who refuse the shots to sign a form. The USAF, however, is not developing a vaccine on their own, but depending on Gov't supplies to get their individuals with shots. They're even asking people to utilize off-base (civilian/state level) vax locations to get shots. The form they sign is 100% voluntary, so they're aware who has and hasn't been given the shots. You CAN choose to reverse your decision at any time. Those here, who think this should be mandatory, need to take a LOT closer look at what it does to your immune system. This is an unapproved experimental set of shots, that basically put you on your own, regardless of the reaction you may have. The pharmaceutical companies take ZERO liability along with the US Gov't. Personally, I refuse to get a set of shots for a 99+% survivable flu (that I've had already).
@Goforit1010 see, I didn't want to get it from civilian side because I heard of paperwork mismanagement handling that caused soldiers to get injected with the vaccine despite having gotten it for COVID already. I was going to go military vax so they didn't do that shit to me, but that was when I thought they would use some mass medical event like LHI with vaccines available to the public like Pfizer or Johnson and Johnson. However when I found out they weren't doing that and making their own, I waived it.
I'd waive the shots anyway, since this crap is highly survivable, especially when you're taking higher doses of Vitamin C, D, and make sure you get 100% RDA of zinc.USAF Civilians are not required to sign the form, but they still want to know who took them and who didn't. Makes you wonder WHY that's so damn important?
@Goforit1010 I don't plan on getting the shot either. If it becomes mandated, I will be one of the last to do so. If we want to go down the conspiracy ladder, then those that refuse are probably put on a watch list and may be coerced down the line via blackmail for getting the early boot.
Have you any idea how unconstitutional that is?
Not necessarily true. The reason it is not mandatory yet in the military is because there is not enough vaccine to ensure EVERY troop gets it. When the vaccine is more widespread, I bet it will become mandatory just like the flu shot is in the military.
That’s so true, why is this so political? Like masks...
I believe we have Trump to thank for that.
It’s more systemic. Like a “fuck liberals” kinda thing...
Perhaps so. You certainly are not wrong!
for not following an order? Thats a bad thing right?
Yes but how do you punish them? What can you do if such a large number refuse? It’s a safety in numbers thing.
I think we should cut back on defense anyway.
Good, you go tell whoever you need to tell to make that happen.
Right back at you JD. How was your Easter by the way...
Great - was in Florida for spring break.
As a pro choicer, I say yes. But businesses have the right not to serve you.
Then thats a matter of being marked by the beast in order to participate in society.
beast being government and the man who leads it
So vaccinated healthy people are evil, anti-vaxxer virus spreaders are loved by god?
Not a matter of the vaccine, the passport is the mark which allows you to participate. Not everyone needs to be vaccinated to reach herd immunity and to reopen.
Or is the mark anti-intellectualism? People who aren’t smart definitely bare the mark...
You do know the vaccine is a mRNA one, and it will alter our DNA coding. More than just developing the protein they claim will defend us from infection. Thats why the CDC released the Zombie apocalypse guide, in several generations the people of tomorrow will be biologically slightly different than those that did not take the mrna vax nor reproduced with said people. This will result in a 2 classes of people. Those that seem to function normally and those that seem zombified.
See smart people know A) Zombies are impossible and so are fun to tweet about.B) Dna can’t be altered by an injection.
So smart you do as told
That’s just for killing babies
I’m honestly libertarian for my body, my choice. Unfort that extends to vaxes. I just hope we can educate our way out of this pandemic.
>libertarian on my body my choiceWhat is that supposed to mean, though? There's plenty of libertarians who are pro life and plenty of libertarians who are pro choice. Funnily enough, this is one of the issues that really splits libertarians down the middle.
And that’s the problem with labels. I just meant it as a descriptor not as a political party.
@OddBeMe. What are your thoughts on herd immunity?
@KrakenAttackin I can only regurgitate experts opinions that the vaccines are our only real hope of herd immunity.
