OK- how about if you knew the bank would never figure it out?
I can't lie I would keep it. It's probably not the highest moral vibration or whatever but yeah I would fully keep it.
I have noticed that the caliber of employees that work in banks and department stores are getting worse.

Yup. I had a similar story. In college, some girl left behind her house keys and wallet in the library. I waited around for a little bit, but I had to get to class, so I left a note behind with my phone number since there were no actual librarians or workers around at this time of day. After class, I saw that I had a missed phone call from the campus police. Instead of calling me, she called them and told them that I stole her shit even though the note clearly said otherwise and I don't think she ever even showed them the note. I showed up to return her stuff and explain it all, and all she did was bitch and say "you held me up! I got things to do!" The white knight beta-bitch campus officer had also assumed I was playing a prank on her and trolling. So I never even got a thank you from it. Had I been able to go back in time, I would've chucked that cunt's stuff into the trash bin right next to the desk she left it by and been happy to do so.
@MCheetah No good deed goes unpunished. I often wonder what I'd do if I found a dead body by the side of the road. I think I'd keep on driving.
hopefully you'll win the lottery later that same day lol
Thats a tough one. I think i’d still say something because that belongs to someone else.
yes, me too. This really happened. I made my weekly deposit and when I got home I looked at the deposit slip and saw they tacked another digit on it. I called the bank and I spoke to the teller and she thanked me profusely for my honesty.
Warm fuzzies 🥰
thanks- it is a real local bank that everyone knows who you are and I did not want to see the teller get fired. If it was a big bank and I just went through the ATM machine maybe I would have a different outcome.
My dad accidentally drove off from our local gas station (same know your name vibe) and drove back as soon as he remembered. They were waiting for him and said they knew he’d come back.
Usually they drive away with the nozzle still stuck in the fuel spout. Never a good thing.
Thankfully not that. He just spaced paying. Good thing he remembered.
Incidentally the bank isn't actually losing any money. They just make figures appear on a computer screen and everyone is happy.
How? Someone else f*cks up and you're charged with it? I doubt it.
@MCheetah it happens all the time
