What about your bosses. Ever show them up in someway?
I really have to be falsely accused though. For example, one time I resisted arrest because I went to a new little Japanese bar and it was all regulars in there, and one guy started picking on me since I'm not pure Japanese. So I tried to say, "Cheers!" and act all friendly but he yelled and hit me. So then I fought back and police arrived but then the entire bar turned against me saying I started the fight when I didn't. So at first, I was trying to rationalize but I just realized I'm damned. I got an entire bar full of people taking a side and lying on behalf of their favored guy.So I was very stupid and immature at that point but sometimes when I feel like I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't, I like to at least go down swinging. For bosses, no. They have been fair to me, and I can recognize if I did even the slightest bit of wrongdoing.
The only wrongdoing I think I did in that bar incident was that I walked in all smiling and happy and tipsy saying cheers to a tight-knit group who probably didn't approve so much of outsiders, especially not people who aren't completely Japanese. I didn't start the fight and I didn't throw any punches or pushes or anything, when police were accusing me of doing that.
In my time at bars. The one thing I’ve learned is that there’s always someone looking for a fight.
The Japanese bar crowd is usually pacifist but I'd say that's still true 10% of the time here at least, especially in new ones.
Some bars are different and they’re more upscale. But even those have fights from time time. Then there’s bars that have the worst of reputations and you’re bound to get in a fight at that bar. But all bars have fights.
I usually got in the most trouble hopping to new ones I never heard of, drawn to the noise inside.
