Has the hyper novelty of today’s world outpaced our ability to make sense of it or handle it?

According to evolutionary biologists Heather Heying & Bret Weinstein, today’s world is nothing like how our ancestors evolved from.

As human beings, our speciality is adapting to nearly any environment we find ourselves in, allowing us the capabilities to deal with novel or changing situations.

Today, however, presents such high levels of novelty that they believe has outpaced our ability to approach these situations with as much precision, accuracy, and efficiency as our ancestors have in their environments.

Technology has progressed faster than our ability to appropriately adapt and overcome

Society, politics, tribalism, political correctness, etc.

All of these thrust into society creates such pandemonium amongst everyone and for good reason.

As humans our ability to solve problems, adapt in any environment, and handle novelty is being outmatched by the over abundance of novelty today
