Fox is liberal?
Ehh, true but there are journalists who can be honest and trustworthy.
The thing about fighting bias in the media is the same as fighting bias in general: to be in search of the truth, whether you like the truth or not. Especially when you don't like it.

I do love nymag
That’s a breath of fresh air from the left. Still wrong.
It’s biased toward truth…
Many of those have outright lied, told half truths and twisted words to make points that support what they (the corporation, the owners, the party being propped up) support. I gave up validating their nonsense around 2013 after seeing through it for years by listening first hand to summarized comments by politicians, by watching videos myself, by listening to all of an interview for context. It’s just a waste of time as they are clearly full of shit. People don’t trust them, they have lost their credibility and can no longer stand for truth. They are liars.
What's OANN's position on the 2020 election?
So where do you get your info from?
@goaded I am guessing you are asking me. They were YUGE Trump supporters I would think given their reputation.
I cobble information together from many, many sources including foreign news along with smatterings from many of those listed (looking for the grain of truth) and even from people on the internet. I have said in the past the biggest issue we have is the loss of a credible media and no one will know what is true or not. Biden, Obama and others are now confused why people don’t trust them on getting jabs… they squandered that trust ten years ago and since. Let’s go Brandon.
Oh so you use MSM like we all do then.
And your easily swayed by chants, I see.
I have yes, I just said that! I want to know what they are reporting, that in and of itself is interesting. I also listen to black radio and I learn. Perhaps I am not like you in that I expose myself still to all points of view.
Chants… lol, I didn’t even watch the original video but I do admit is funny as hell and I find it refreshing.
I love listening to people who think they’re somehow above it all.
I guess that is supposed to put me in my place and make me feel… bad? Insecure? I’m not sure but I have been honest with you and you just seem like you are below me? Otherwise why would you suggest that I see my self above it all? You feel looked down on. That comes from you my friend. That is your perspective.
Oh no, you just think you have the equation to life’s problems. But most people do. It’s sad when they’re proven wrong.
I just think I have a perspective. And obviously so do you. And here you sit in grand judgment of me… lol, fuck off.
We’re in grand judgement of each other. Cheers!
That’s interesting. I look at that.
Agreed, not sure why politico is on the left. If anything it’s centered.
Someone has to tell you the info first. Who do you trust to do that?
It's more based on my own beliefs, than what I'm told
But someone has to give you info on what’s going on, right?
Eh, not necessarily
So the graph’s wrong?
The graph is not even readable, but more than likely yes. Probably created by a Democrat to be intentionally misleading. That’s what left does
It’s actually a media watch dog group. Here’s a link to an interactive version which’ll be easier to read.adfontesmedia.com/.../
Cnn is extremely left leaning how tf is it in about the middle? this chart itself is fake news. 😂
Show me then. This is actual research in this graph which appears to show the MSM leans right wing.
TYT is a YouTube channel 😂. Do you even know what MSM means? A lot of those "news sites" are basically blogs dude.
It actually was a TV show years ago. But how do you define MSM? Some YouTube channels get more views than cable….
Exclude the "blogs", and the picture skews even more right. Hannity & OANN are not blogs, and InfoWars is a TYT equivalent that lies.
Main stream means MAIN NEWS networks. *rolls eyes* e. g. CNN , Fox , NBC , ABC, CBS, MSNBC etc A blog, or YouTube channel isn't a MSM news outlet.
@goaded no it isn't. Not by a mile and I'm not even on the right. Lol
And what makes it “main”? Seriously. You’re accepting some idea without knowing what it means.
Then where do you get your news from?
From hearsay. Of course I can't avoid media completely. So i see something in my news feed on my phone someone's. I just find the news to be A: misrepresenting what happened in the real world and B: not relevant to my life.I personally prefer being ignorant rather than misinformed.
Sometimes not someone's*
Guess my point is we keep dumping on the news agencies when maybe 75% is legit. And you know that’s where you get your news from.
My point is: i take note of the news that i get somehow. I am aware that probably over 90% is sensationalism and exaggeration or other misrepresentation of reality due to the fact that news sources have to make money...I don't think 75% are "legit'. I don't think there's many "legit" sources that don't have an agenda or a personal vested interest in having you accept their version of "truth". And in those few that don't, like alternative media, what they have in integrity, they lack in competency and expertise. So what I'm saying is that i don't really reach out to consume news. I'm force fed the news sometimes and i don't accept any of them as "news" but i rather see them as an attempt to get my money, my information or gain power by influencing my opinion.
There’s dumb commentary in news, for sure. But honest journalists do exist. On both sides. Journalists at the wSJ complain constantly about its opinion section spreading lies.
honestly i don't think "honest journalism" exists. maybe there's the odd exception here and there but it's not the "standard". and not "mainstream".i mean just ask 100 people which one news source they find the most "neutral" and "accurate". if there was such a thing, then that would be reflected in peoples opinions but as it stands, everyone has their own favourite and they feel very strong that a source another person favourites is complete garbage.so I don't know man. for me it clicked when i was at a massive protest in my countries capital. and it was first of all missrepresented as a "small demonstration of a few thousand", when it was clearly millions as was easily determinable from areal images that were made.second of all, it was missrepresented as "mostly violent nazi protesters", when really there was mostly a broad cross-section of society protesting the same thing in complete and explicit opposition of violence (as anyone who would hear the chants knew immediately)... like at one point i litterally saw people carrying nazi flags (of which there was very little) next to people carrying the national flag of israel and they didn't fight each other or something. they did protest against the same thing...and the weird thing is: litterally no mainstream media source (those that have a print publication or a tv/radio station and not just youtube channel) represented it as what it actually was when you were actually there and see for yourself. you wanna guess what the protest was about?
If you don’t “consume” media then how would you know one thing about it?That’d be like me complaining about Korean pop groups.
well if you hated k-pop, would you still keep watching it? obviously i did consume it at some point. specially like 15 years ago when i still used to watch tv.
Sure, but would you trust my opinion on K-pop?
i think it was pretty clear in what i previously said that i make my own opinon. i would listen to k-pop and if i found it to be shitty, i would stop listening to it and say "i don't listen to k-pop". stating that doesn't mean that i never listened to k-pop. it means i have made my opinion based on my own experience and i'm not letting someone else tell me what my opinion should be.
So you’d have to investigate every news story to have an opinion. That’s not feasible and you obviously don’t do that now.
You don’t think it could be possible for a unbiased researcher to do it?
