Ah, finally someone who knows the value of augustus
its apart of my heritage so its a duty to know! ^^The era of the First Triumvirate -War of Actium is my favorite part of history!Battle Of Alesia is my all time favorite!
You are Italian? Ah yes it's a big battle
Yes my surname is ancient Ligurian in nature going back at least 3,000 years. My family came from the Piemonte region on my father's side and Milan and Sicily on my mother's side. Not sure if I look Italian to you or not? Lol some people with an untrained eye assume hispanic or middle eastern.
it's absolutely brilliant, yes if we only look at your photo we can think that you come from one of its regions, i love italy.I am French
I have both french and Spanish mobility in my blood as well. A french Noble and Spanish count. Piemontese is a variation of Italian with some French characters in it
You have significant ancestors.
Great grandfather fought in the Austrian front in WW1 and grandfather was in Torino Division in Operation Barbarossa! Also helped to arrest Mussolini in the Alps. ☺️👍
Bravo 👏 my grandfather went to World War II and my great grandfather was in Verdun
Very nice! 😃👍
@t-8900That’s fascinating brother. You are quite fortunate to have been able to trace your roots back so far and find nobility in the family tree. I was only able to get as far the 1600’s on my fathers side. My mothers side we know were Italio-Normans as her maiden name is one known to have come to Italy by way of Normandy, but we do not know if we are from noble stock there. Both of my grandfathers fought in Europe in WW2, one was a pilot and shot down over Holland and evaded capture making his way to England, and my maternal great grandfather fought in the Meuse-Argon offensive and was awarded a medal for valor in combat. As for me, I only on campaign against terrorists in the Middle East and Iraq. Not a great power and worthy adversary as my ancestors before me. I only mention this as I never miss a chance to mock the cowardly and weak forces I was actively on campaign against, not that it’s at all relative to the subject matter. I will shed a tear for their dead the next time I take a piss.
Beyond the territorial expansion, Augustus will restore peace, and there will be under his reign an incredible artistic effervescence. add to this that it will give the Roman Empire consistency
