Why do guys like the "slutty" girls on Facebook?

I see girls post really inappropriate pictures on Facebook all the time...Like their butts or boobs hanging out, tiny bikinis, their in their underwear, kissing other girls (on the mouth), posing provocatively, lots of makeup, partying, etc. Why do all the guys seem to love them? I mean, they like seeing hot girls, I get it... But do they really want this girls? In a good way? Like would they want to go out with these girls and have a relationship with them? And would guys prefer these "hot girls" over the girls who don't post pics like this? Sorry, I'm confused! Thanks for your time... :)

You're getting confused here.

Guys have fantasies, and in those fantasies, looks and sex are of huge importance, but not always the way you think they are. In a guy's fantasies, he often enjoys looking at girls who are NOTHING like what he wants as a girlfriend, or what he HAS as a girlfriend. Guys are programmed to enjoy variation, and most guys do. Most guys obviously enjoy looking at hot girls and imagining having sex with them, and because it's mostly fantasy, they don't care if she's slutty, or has a boyfriend, or is a different religion, or lives halfway across the country. He isn't planning on actually BEING with her, so the only thing that is important is how she looks and can contribute to his fantasies.

But when a guy wants a GIRLFRIEND, he has a totally different set of requirements. He has to be physically attracted to her, sure, but looks are much less important, and things like attitude, personality, behavior, values, availability, and compatibility are much more important. And even though many guys enjoy thinking about "sluts" in their fantasies, few guys actually want to BE with one as a girlfriend, and in fact, most will specifically avoid being with one.

So, again, do not let yourself be confused because a guy wants one thing for a girlfriend and something very different for his fantasies. That's totally normal and common for guys. And the vast majority of guys are perfectly content to let their fantasies remain fantasies, and aren't interested in trying to make them reality, because they know that reality brings all sorts of complications that they don't want in real life. So for that reason, women need not be jealous or insecure about a guy's fantasies, because that's not what he wants in real life.

Thank you so much for your reply...I do feel confused about this. I'm still in high school, so I guess most of the guys I know right now aren't necessarily the most mature in the world. But I just feel like these hot girls are the type of girl you need to be to get a guy right now. I know it's probably not true, but I feel that way sometimes...

There IS some truth to that. Keep in mind that guys your age and a bit older are in their sexual peak years (16-25 or so), and not especially mature, so they tend to be focused on fun and sex rather than relationships or responsibility.

But...guys who do just want fun, like "slutty" girls because they basically want to say. I'm showing off my body, I tried hard, so...have sex with me! The message so clear, nice and direct.

And you know how some guys (the handsome, muscular, ignorant, arrogant, big/manly) are...we all love sex. But I'm not into wild one-night getting drunk partying tied to the bed kind of sex.

Let's just say, it's like watching a p*rno except you sorta know them which makes it ok.

I like girls who either don't like posting even a profile picture or just a few. Means they are insecure, sad in some way, and need someone to hold on to. Then I can reassure they are beautiful, love them, care for them, and all those lovely things in life.
