Your sport of "global football" is called "association football" (*). That's where the name "soccer" comes from. In fact, "association football" was called "soccer" in the UK from years after the game was invented. That's why Americans still call it soccer. However, over time, in the UK, they changed to calling it simply "football" and not "association football". In the past, "association" was important, because other "footballs", such as American football, is a form of football called "gridiron football". Gridiron football was more popular in the USA, so we simply called it football since we were already following the UK's original lead of calling "association football" as "soccer".(*) Notice FIFA: Fédération Internationale de Football AssociationWhen you translate that into English, that becomes "International Federation of Association Football". Thus, even FIFA uses soccers formal technical name: "association football".... which is NOT "global football".
Yea I’m not surprised, men will try to see women by any means necessary.
Those are not NFL teams, n that’s your opinion. They would do just fine to me.
How would they do just fine? Forget about women playing against men for a moment. You can't get 11 novices, regardless of gender, to play against NFL players. It makes no sense... and I would say that about a novice playing tennis against Serena Williams or a novice playing soccer against Carli Lloyd. It's silly.
@Coolgirl235I quote Daniel Patrick Moynihan:"Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts."The fact is that an offensive line needs guys who are huge and weigh like 350 pound because the defensive linemen will come attacking the quarterback. The QB needs time to pass. Also, the offensive line needs to create holes so a runner can get through the line. Unless the offensive lineman are strong enough to hold off the attacking defensive linemen, no holes are going to be created.Meanwhile, what about if the other NFL team (with all males) has the ball and is on offense. Their offensive line won't have a problem against most female attacking defensive linemen. A QB won't even bother throwing the ball. He'll just hand-off to the running back all day and move the ball down the field. Short of a fumble, every drive will result in a touchdown or field goal.
No one is talking about them playing against mean. They are some women trying to play in the NFL with guys that can, but I don’t care about that. I’m talking about women playing against women. So everything else both of you said is irrelevant.
Well, young lady, you used the word "team" in your question thus what I said was not irrelevant. However, if you are talking about individual players who are female and on NFL teams, I have no problem with that in concept. The only unofficial issue would simply be "making the team" during try-outs. If a woman can make the team, then fine by me - I have no problem. The best players should be on the field no matter what genitalia they have.
Okay, then I refer back to my other response:Well then create the league. There are already women's professional leagues for basketball, softball, soccer, and hockey. This isn't an equality issue. I don't think that there are enough women interested in playing football to sustain a league.
I think it would be obvious if I was talking about men against women. N yes it was irrelevant
Again I refer to my previous comment:Well then create the league. There are already women's professional leagues for basketball, softball, soccer, and hockey. This isn't an equality issue. I don't think that there are enough women interested in playing football to sustain a league. There's also no such word as "n" or "N".
No you can’t handle it. The rest of us can.
Ha! I'd like to see you get tackled by a 300 lb linebacker. You would be wimpering like a baby as they carried you off the field in a basket. lol
If a girl is 300 lbs I will make sure she doesn’t tackle me. Like I said, we are not all frail like you.
When you play in the roller derby you cannot be frail. And you are speaking for yourself as not many females can handle a game like football that even injures big tough men.
You are a beta female. Accept it.
I play football I never got seriously hurt before
I was an intern for an all women tackle football team last seasonThere are 300+ pounds women on that team
@MidnightCowboy No kidding? I would have liked to see that game.
@ToughChick I'm not talking a video game. So were they all girls that played? I never even heard of a female football team. Guess you don't have any sponsors like the guys get.
I play on my high school teamAre you clueless or what?
@ToughChick Apparently so. If you wanted to play REAL football you would play Aussie rules. They don't wear all that chicken shit protective gear. They are REAL men.
They do wear gear dummy.

there are leagues for women though they just don't get at much exposure as the nfl... far from it. the best "exposed" women's league is the lingerie football league which has some decent play but the terrible gimmick of girls in bikini type uniforms
That’s your opinion and 👌
I know, I sound like a jerk. On a more serious note... I think it's going to happen in the future :) !
I think there is. How is there gonna be players when the sport hasn’t been created for us as well?
Well then create the league. There are already women's professional leagues for basketball, softball, soccer, and hockey. This isn't an equality issue. I don't think that there are enough women interested in playing football to sustain a league.
Well that’s your opinion.
It's not my opinion. It's fact based in numbers. Where are these hordes and hordes of women dying to play professional football? You do realize you need more than one team? You do also realize to sustain a league, you need at least 8 or 10 teams... which means you need HUNDREDS of women... because you can't have the same teams playing each other over and over again, week after week. It would be ludicrous, nonsensical, absurd, and make no money because no one would go to the same games over and over or watch the same matchups over and over.
It’s your opinion. Nothing more.
Okay. If that's true, like I said already, create the league yourself. There are already women's professional leagues for basketball, softball, soccer, and hockey. This isn't an equality issue. There isn't enough women interested in playing football to sustain a league and teams. If you believe otherwise, find them and start your league.
There’s five all women leagues in the United States
Dude, there is like 100 women teams in the States and like over 200 teams in Europe There are also teams in Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Philippines, Egypt, etc
@MidnightCowboy @ToughChick There's 300 professional women's teams? In 5 different leagues? Playing American football in the United States and Europe? If that's true, then this question is a waste of time, the person asking the question doesn't know what she's talking about, and all of the responses are unnecessary.
Y’all don’t waste y’all time with this ignorant idiot. He’s biased.
I am not biased and at no point did I post anything biased. If women's professional football leagues already exist, and you're asking a question about why there isn't any professional women's football leagues in existence, then the question is a pointless waste of time... because they already exist. If women's football leagues don't already exist, then go find women that want to play American football professionally and create a league yourself. At no point did I say I was against women playing American football professionally. I said there isn't a large public demand for a women's league.
I feel like I am one of the best experts here on women football because I was an intern for a team. Here a few stories that I found on the sport around the world during my time as an internwww.americanfootballinternational.com/.../https://allafrica.com/stories/201803130452.htmlgulfnews.com/.../...ay-american-football-1.2214005www.ndtv.com/.../not-just-a-man-thing-moroccos-american-football-is-inclusive-of-women-1906300www.americanfootballinternational.com/.../
@MidnightCowboy So there are already a number of women's professional football leagues in existence. Then I stand by my statement that a question asking why these leagues DON'T exist already... when in reality they actually already DO exist, is a pointless waste of time. Also, I still haven't seen any evidence of a large public outcry or demand for women's football to be more prominent or promoted.
@MidnightCowboy If there was a local team in New York City area, I'd probably watch, but I honestly don't believe there is enough support from the rest of the general public...
There are 21 European countries that have the sport. It's growing at a fast pacewww.growthofagame.com/.../
High demand doesn’t mean something will be accomplished. There is a high demand for gender equality, but is it accomplished? Hell no.
@MidnightCowboy Well then I guess the answer is American women need to go to Europe to play football. For whatever reason, the demand just doesn't seem to exist here...
@Coolgirl235 You're complaining about something that you see as a problem instead of creating the solution to the situation. If you believe that the players and demand and money are there, go start your own league.
We are creating solutions right now. It’s called Feminism.
We? Who's we? If you think the majority of feminists care about football, good luck with that.I've been off this entire weekend on paid vacation, so I've had some extra time to entertain this conversation... but now I need sleep I'm a full-time single parent and I work full time at a career I enjoy, so I have my life's passions. Good luck with your league or playing for a team or whatever. 👍
Sayyyyb What? Are you for or against female sports?
@MidnightCowboy If there are why do you never see any news coverage of them. Because no one cares about women in football. Women are relegated to sports like gymnastics, volleyball, ping pong, tennis, and golf. Ever seen women playing in the world Series? You never will either because sports are a man thing and no one pays to see women play.
@DublinRollerGirl I put the team that I interned for on the news and in different newspaperYou are either a woman with tons of self-hate or really a man with a pink account
@NYC you are obviously missing the point purposefully.
@MidnightCowboy Yeah that's me, I just hate myself sooo much. I have never seen any news article of a woman's football league/team. So what newspaper, besides some gossip rag, were they in? It surely was not the New York or LA Times.
@DublinRollerGirl KGW (News)The Oregonian The Canby Heard The Clackamas ReviewThe Portland Tribune
@DublinRollerGirl CNN did a story on women tackle football in general last year
@MidnightCowboy So the team is in Oregon? I know they have a roller derby team anyway - The Rose City Rollers I believe. I never heard of any women football teams. If any had one you would think they would be the Oregon Ducks.
@Coolgirl235 I'm not missing the point purposely. I understand very clearly and accurately. My argument lies somewhere between @MidnightCowboy and @DublinRollerGirl and is based in reality. I'm sure there are a good number of women in the United States that are very talented and can play football really well. Enough players and teams for a large-scale (NFL size) league in the United States? No way. You need supply (a vast number of players), demand (large public interest), collateral (billions of dollars and investors), stability (generating money and not losing money), organization (merging smaller existing leagues into one large league playing under the same set of rules), sustainability (player development pipeline), and along with all of that, the creation of thousands of high school and college teams with dozens of women being interested in playing on those teams with the dream of playing professional football. Currently not of these things exist in the United States or anywhere.
Plus a woman's body and bone structure is not as strong as a male's. I could see women getting broken bones every game.
^You are such a weak pick me female it’s sad.
I just know a woman's limitations. Men are tougher and look at all them getting brain injuries and battered and bruised. There have been quite a few professional football players who got traumatic brain injuries from repeated hits and went crazy and committed suicide.
I can tell you are inferior.
Genuinely couldn't give a fuck.
There is no fuck to give you rat.
Want some pepper with that sold you putrid little tumblrina? xx
Salt* Autocorrect oopsie xx
Because it’s not that serious, but it shows a lot, we don’t have equality.
Sure thing 😂
Lol well then you stay in the kitchen, the rest of us will do what we want.
And I'll be happily married and making a pie.
You’ll be happily married getting cheated on getting ya ass beat while being forced to make a pie. Do you, be dumb.
Wait a minute, you are a guy so how could you be an intern?
@DublinRollerGirl And who cares If I am a guy. They hired me and liked what I did. I put them in different newspapers and got them on the news
@DublinRollerGirl They are a tackle football team that plays in like a 65 team league Real tough women
The National Enquirer is not news. ha ha
@DublinRollerGirl Lol what I never said nothing about National Enquirer
Not in America.
You must be blind. Cause that shit has over 7 million views on YouTube.
7 million on YouTube? That's peanuts. Venus Angelic and the glutton Japanese girl have more views than that.
Don’t be a dweeb.
How am I being a dweeb by stating common sense? 7 million views isn't that much on YouTube.
Yes it is. Stop being a dweeb.
Yea but this would be more popular than women’s basketball n soccer. I know it would for a fact.
@Coolgirl235 Womens' basketball (WNBA) is an industry that loses money but is kept alive due to subsidies from the male league. The 9 or so teams are owned by male team owners. It's the same with college sports.
Believe what you want. I know the truth., n that ain’t it.
It's not an opinion. It's a fact... www.nytimes.com/.../...ruggling-for-relevance.htmlIt's not meant to be an insult.
No, it’s your ignorant opinion.
Okay you're right. There is no NFL teams because it would make too much money and investors are terrified of making money.
Yes it would, it would be more popular than woman’s basketball. So obviously that’s not the case.
Of there was a big enough demand for it, then it WOULD be done. You asked a question and I answered it. It's the correct answer. The only answer. If you don't like it you are simple denying reality.
Nah, there’s a big demand for equality n we still don’t have it, so obviously that’s not true. N no you gave me a wrong answer. I don’t accept anything wrong.
Take your feminist bullshit and shove it up your ass. Because bullshit is exactly what it is. Live in your fantasy world if you want, but don't expect everyone else to be as moronic as you. This is VERY simple economics. If there is money to be made, somebody WILL do it. Get that through your fucking head.
Feminists are great, unfortunately right now I’m not one. Stop being a hater tho, I can tell you want to have a vagina, you useless males are always complaining.
They do except basketball, but women’s football would be the most popular.
Oh. I wasn't aware. I thought they were doing at the same level as womens basketball.
You don’t watch women’s sports thot. A lot of people do.
Obviously not enough.
