I was overweight a couple of years ago and I did a couple things to lose weight. One was I started running, now running is an intense exercise, so it might not be for everybody. But other sports will likely be the same. You have to build up slowly, I was a total couch potato so it took me months to get to doing any serious running. Building muscle and strengthening my joints was a big deal. Cheerleading is also somewhat intense. I'd slowly work up to it, knowing that your body is okay with the kinds of stresses you'll be putting on it. Take it slow and let your body adjust to the new regime. Maybe start with more moderate exercises.
First, 5’5 and 200 pounds is not that bad. Using a modernized BMI calculator that would not qualify as obese either. Don’t call yourself fat, it is such a demeaning and devaluing word. If you want to do a sport, it should be because you enjoy it, not because society is telling you to change yourself. Be proud of who you are and be yourself.
