Really? What do you practice?
I haven’t in a few years. Used to do kickboxing. And a few MCMAP techniques
Ohoho, now that's interesting.

As someone who has done some Krav Maga, I would not mind if my partner wanted someone to practice her moves.
I'm also a kickboxer so we might be able to exchange notes. Ideal to me would be to learn grappling from SO -- it's my ultimate weak point as a pure striker.
Dude, I think if special forces used that kind of techniques before it even was taught to the public, I'm pretty sure it works.
lol. it works in theory, not in real life. the gunman would pull the trigger before the other guy got that close.
Well you're not going to run to the guy if you're too far, it's dumb but, if the guy is dumb enough to get too close (like when some random thug wants to take your wallet), then you can disarm him and steal his weapon. That's what this technique is about and trust me it's quick and efficient once you know how to do it.
oh please dude. the trigger would be pulled before the other guy could do anything. totally unrealistic.
Well, you probably have not seen how fast these techniques are. Of course, if you're not smart, run at the guy, don't wait until he is less jumpy or something like that, it won't work. But, if you think about what you're doing at least a bit, you will know when the time is right.
so they're faster than a bullet traveling at 2,500 feet per second? lol.
Except you forgot some things : the reaction time, the time between the guy realizing what is going on and him shooting accurately, the panic and surprised induced from the sudden reaction that could make you gain some precious time and that could cause him to miss too. It's not you move a hair and bam you're dead. Realistically, there are more factors.
Besides, as you grab the gun, you move yourself away too so they will have to redirect their aim if they want to hit you.
I raise you five
@Creepazoid oh word?
