Have sports leagues done the right thing by cancelling or suspending play during the pandemic of the coronavirus?

Plitty-Tank
The NBA decided to suspend the season due to 2 Utah Jazz players testing positive for the coronavirus. The players were Donovan Mitchell and Ruby Gobert. Afterwards, other sports leagues are cancelling conference tournaments in college sports and the NHL, MLS, MLB and other sports league world wide are either cancelling sports or suspending play until further notice. I'm not sure if the XFL will continue or not. Last I heard, they are likely to consider either suspending it or playing their games with no fans.

It is undetermined whether or not the 2020 NCAA Basketball tournament will be cancelled or not but it is more likely just to be suspended for about 1 month.
