I live and work in the UAE and everything here is going on a stand still with immediate effect. Company's are laying off their workers on an unpaid leave and it's affecting the economy badly. Nobody knows what's going to happen next. I'm curious, how's the atmosphere wherever y'all live and how are you guys handling this pandemic?

I'm in the UK, and most of us aren't in full on panic mode yet, which is good.

The schools haven't been closed (yet). Shops, pubs, restaurants etc are still open, but concerts, sporting events etc have been postponed. There has been some panic buying, but it's not that widespread (yet).

Schools in the whole of the UAE have been shut down.

Sporting events, bars, nightlife and any other activities that accomodates more than a group of 50 persons at a sitting or time, has also been prohibited or forbidden.

Especially sporting events that engaged children below the age of 12 highly forbidden.

I'm sorta worried cos this has affected my job and I don't know the decision these people at the top are going to make in the next couple of days/weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
