I have 7 years of karate experience, but that's been a while.
I'm almost 25, 6'7(200cm) and about 300lbs (~130kg)
Previously I have liked using kicks a lot in my fighting style.
Have you thought of judo as an option? Why do you think your height or weight would be so important anyways?
Judo sounds interesting, although it seems more like a sport than something that builds on what I already know. It would be good to learn its basics at least, I haven't done a ton of grappling in my life.
It's not that my height/weight is important, it's just that I don't want to handicap myself by not utilizing the advantage that I have.
Agreed with this and the frustrations of wrestling as a skinny guy. And then the huge guys saying weight didn't matter. Fucking annoying, haha.
I've been considering taekwondo, but haven't seen any execution that made me enthousiastic about it. I was watching a video where they had great kicks, but weren't protecting against any punches for example, no guards up. That kinda made me go : /
I enjoy martial arts as a sport, it's a motivator to work out and a great way of releasing stress. That said, I like to think that martial arts is about becoming the best version of yourself. Some martial arts are mainly meant for smaller people, that won't get me to that point. I can still learn from them and appreciate it, but I prefer the optimal one in the long term.
So rule out the ones for small people and see what ones are left. If none of those appeal maybe you'll have to break those small people, tall people barriers.
Yeah, that's why I was looking for some suggestions, since there's quite a lot of martial arts.
It's not really a barrier, so much as it doesn't make sense for me not to take advantage of my reach and flexbility.

And it's hard to know what you'd like, especially when you're suggesting a barrier due to height. Many have responded here. I've not checked. I hope they were more helpful

What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now! Haha, completely correct, I'm working my way to 110kg (245lbs). I noticed that guys like Badr Hari and Rico Verhoeven are roughly that weight, so that has to be a decent target.
Tae Kwon Do might definitely be the way to go
