Do you think sports are staged in a way?

It’s tough to stage the outcomes of team sports, but I could definitely believe that officials are encouraged to keep games interesting and relatively close as much as they can without obvious interference. And in MLB baseball, they’re openly saying they’re “deadening” the balls this year to lower the homeruns, which would support the accusation that they were juicing the balls in the past to promote homeruns. So I think there’s reason to believe there’s at least some degree of interference by the leagues.

No, it is not, sports are way more complicated than wrestling
However, there has been some (very few) matches in which the outcome has been manipulated, mostly in soccer, which is the most popular sport.
But in general is not possible to stage skills to the professional level.

Not completely.
But like NFL is a good example.
Certain teams that the NFL feels are money-making teams get more calls than others.
The refs help to sway the decision but even with bad calls it doesn't always guarantee the outcome because the refs can't be completely obvious about it

There's a lot of match fixing in MMA probably. Boxing as well.

I do know several years back a referee in the NBA was betting against the Kings while betting for the lakers in the playoffs. He kept calling a ridiculous amount of fouls on the kings sending players on the lakers to the Free-Throw Line (Especially Shaq). by the way, the lakers won the series. The referee got caught and spent time in prison for it and claims all the referees were doing it without proof.

i mean some certainly are. wrestling obviously is. and i think most national sports are too. not "obviously" but it's in my estimations very likely rigged, cause there's lots of money to be made in sports bets and fan service.

Professional sports are not staged, with the exception of wrestling, which is choreographed, and almost a cartoon.
