Generally agree, but a nit pick:it'd actually be 'apt-get install gcc'. g++ is a C++ compiler and will cause gcc to be installed as a dependency, but it's technically not the right way to install a C compiler.
I found with a decent one, she doesn't spend much money and might even make some of her own, is quite straightforward to install, might still take a while to get ready (but the compilation and linking time is independent on the size and complexity of the codebase), and actually very straightforward to debug and profile. She also understands high-level instructions and can correctly produce desired behavior in spite of some syntax errors here and there.
She also comes with a nice IDE with a very appealing user interface. It's so appealing that sometimes I like to just look and fool around with the user interface for lengthy periods of time in spite of getting little work done. Of course, it depends on what type of problems you want to solve. I think it's good for a programmer to be open to a fairly wide range of tools.
Oooooooo0o0oOoo who is it?
I was just thinking generally though my wife is a good one there. She's one of the easiest ones I've ever found when it comes to debugging.
Why debug when you can print "im here"? :^)
Old school debugging? I find that a last resort strategy for release builds. With a good girlfriend though, it's like she can spot the error without even having to require you to navigate the code and set breakpoints and trace through it or construct unit/integration tests. It's a very efficient debugging process with a good one.
Neither women or compilers listen to my comments sadly :(
"sudo apt-get install wine-stable" is my solution to all my relationship issues
Compiler of course. Girlfriends dont find me attractive either way
Once you have a girlfriend who treats you right. . .!
It looks like someone got dumped or rejected
Actually not ^^
Compilers.So well designed lol.
Got to be a girlfriend
