My fan are on the side and some on button. I just being playing Nintendo switch mainly.
Thanks for trying to help my girlfriend out
Only thing what UK have it only window 10 +
I have found the HP Elitebook to be very durable on the lower end of cost. I had one in my studio and it was fine, but Windows cannot run some of the software I use for music production so I mainly us Mac for that.
Also I noticed in another comment you're asking about gaming laptops. If you want a gaming laptop, HP is a bad brand for that. One of the best you can probably get for cheap is MSI. There's also Asus' brand, Republic of Gamers that a lot of people have. I personally have a Gigabyte laptop; they're quite expensive but I was lucky enough to get one on sale. It's the best laptop I've had by far and if I were to get another laptop, I would get that brand again.
This is probably fixable.
It stuck on reset. Part
You need to find a computer nerd.Download Windows 10 Home from Microsoft web site.Burn the downloaded file as an ISO DVD.Boot up and reinstall Win 10.If your laptop hasn't got a DVD drive, use Rufus to burn file to a USB drive, and install from that. This is not an easy procedure, so you will need help I think.
I can't get to window don't have a nerd or I don't cd
Hmmm! Not sure what to suggest! I am SURE this is fixable!

It happen to Toshiba, Asuse. . My family is very cheap. So taking to repair shop. Probably will be too expensive for them. I have my own bank. They all kept being knock off.
I don't think so since it screw /nails
The update broken it
Broken one app
You might have to do a reset. What version OS do you have? Win 7 or Win 10?
I did reset. How to do a hard reset?
By reset, I meant a factory reset. It's Win 10 settings. I did that to clean up any misc software I had running.
My stuck on reset
My didn't and it wan'st Asuse.
yeah i know... you said it was hp and i was just telling you my hp was rubbish too so dont buy another one
I tried ause then Also broken too.
ok well mine has been great... incidentally it was installing windows 10 that my hp started playing up and then did exectly the same thing as yours but my asus came with it pre installed
Asuse didn't work very. It also broken. I Also had Toshiba laptops as well that also broken. Only thing I am not tried is Mac but I more looking for gaming. If you know better gaming laptop
If laptop more expensive the cheap the model is.
It all started because I tried open the app origin and said couldn't start up. So I decided to reset but I press the power button by mistake.
For example, I have an hp elite book 850 Gen 3 that's just hitting 3 years old, but it's still going strong because of how I took care of it.The hp machines that don't last long at all are the hp conser devices that you would buy at best buy or Walmart. Those use thinner motherboard and less durible components.
That's not a hardware issue my friend, that's a software issue. Are you on windows 10?
I got window and got from Pc world /curry. In uk.
OK when you Powe it up what does it do? Does it get to windows? Does it fail to get to windows?
It go into instill window but it turn off then turn back on. while being on with a blue light on side of laptop
Hmm. How are you installing
That thing I don't know why it installed
OK. Do you have another computer available to you?
No but just Mac
Ouch OK. And it won't boot into windows at all?
I wish I could see what you see..
It stuck o instilling window. I am not sure which laptop it better.
This doesn't help. Tried Toshiba, tried Asuse. That also broken to
They're all the same. $$$ over product durability.
Great what else. Thanks for not jelp again
I'm just telling you the reality of it all.
@Gta5fan4lufe Well, then you diagnose and repair her laptop. You seem to be a know-it-all.
Oh shut the hell up
@Gta5fan4lufe Go f**K yourself. You're no help, either.
Are you mad
Well you are probably mad
Lame again. that probably won't have in fucking UK.
I tried Toshiba, tried Asuse and they all broken too. Thanks for not being very helpful.
What are you doing to them?My better half's asus has lasted almost a decade, survived 2 spills and about 8 drops in that time...Either you're ending up with duds, or you are doing things to them that you shouldn't.
They just broken being too hot or a virrse. Other one did broken being over heating.
you have to keep the vents around the bottom clear, do you sit them on bedsheets, or couch cushions etc? if so, then you are baking them, a no-no. They might be CALLED lap-tops, but mostly sitting them on your lap will roast them.As for viruses - they can torch any computer, lap-top or not. There is lots of reasonablly effective free anti virus software out there. Do a bit of reasearch on reviews, what features and whatnot would work best for your useage, but connecting to the internet without protection is just a time bomb.
Already knew this. This still not helpful
So God damn unhelpful
Seems pretty clear it's not a problem with machine, you demolish any brand.I'd say PIBCAK
Still not helpful
Well, the question is "why do Laptop don't last very long" and not, "what do you think is wrong with my laptop."The answer to your question you asked isA: these laptops are poor qualityB: you take poor care of themC: bad luck.
Yes. they are litteraly HOT crap. You could probably cook on some of their junk..
I had one for at least two years melt
