Try it out as a live system! No need to install. Stick with 16.4 or other flavours that are well established.
Which Linux would you recommend for just a regular guy?
@SheldonM Any version of Ubuntu or another Debian based distro. Mint has been mentioned. That's a good one.
Thank you for MHG!
You can download it for free. Burn image to optical disc. Maybe put on a USB stick. Install or run as live system. Easy stuff!
@juicyjessie i know. But i was told it wasn't as easy to use by a Linux user. Currently I am not in the mood to learn a new system. Though i have thought of trying it out.
It is very similar in some ways to Windows. The command prompt is similar. The best thing is the frequent small updates that don't require a restart very often. I run 3 machines with Ubuntu 16.4. Fully updated. One has Virtualbox with both Win 10 and XP as guests.
@juicyjessie cool 😃
Linux mint is far easier
Also Windows runs all games
So does Linux, if you know how to do it! That's why I use XP as a guest on a fast Linux machine.
