should I block the ads because they're bad or just to demonetize a bad platform?
just to demonetize them
I started looking through the subreddits and joined a bunch. When I looked at the content I left a few of them because they were filled with SJWs and others were supposed to be funny but weren't that good. There were a few that were funny and even when i didn't like the message I found myself laughing at it.
Well reddit is what you make it really, like you may scroll through my reddit and not like it and vice versa.I would say just search topics your interested in and look through, also i perfer to sort by rising that can help a lot since new is a bit of a shit show and best well there isn't much interesting on there
Interesting. Thanks for the tips
Also one more thing there is porn on reddit, so do with that as will haha
perfectlycutscreams is good. Laughing already
Yeah everyone loves that one, there's also R/dankmemes that has some good ones
I think I checked that one out but I'll give it another look
Can you explain that a little more? I notice that each reddit has its own rules and that you need to read them before posting.
I am checking out some cat reddits, some comedy/meme reddits, a couple conservative reddits and one that is funny but i dont really understand about the syrian war.
Cool, I like to lurk and read the posts but I hate reading the comments, they're so basic and obvious. It's like some echochamber, like no blaming the victim.
I did venture into a couple that were hate filled liberal rage forums. I was watching a youtube video earlier about a guy arrested by the feds in Portland. He was active on Reddit for many years under different pseudonyms. He talked about killing the 1% and he talked about his support for Bernie Sanders. He was arrested for threatening to bomb the Portland police station. The good news is that these are federal charges and so they will actually prosecute him instead of the charges being dropped by the local AG.
It felt kind of serendipitous that I was just on one of those insane leftist hate forums and then within a short period of time I watched a news story about one of the crazed lunatics on YouTube.

I agree that the nudity is nice and it almost makes reddit a one stop shop. Some subreddits have hilarious comments and those can be as entertaining as the original posts but some are just tedious to readDo you have any particular one that you would suggest?
I mostly stop into Reddit when I want to comment about a certain reality show that I follow.I used to read some of the "Roast Me" comments. It's like Rate Me or How Do I Look, but people purposely post pictures and want to be roasted.
Thanks for the ideas
That is interesting. I just started looking at it and I wasn't really thinking of things like that. I appreciate your insight
@SuccessfulHornDog You're welcome :)
I just recent started looking at it and trying to determine if it is something that I would enjoy. I know that it is hugely popular but I have heard some negative things about it too. I wasn't sure it that is across the board or specific to different sub reddits.
I can't argue with that. Have you ever tried it?
A few times but it mostly a time killer
Yeah, but that's what much of the internet is really.
Good observation, less internet in general is better for all of us
Truth, I just got done working out so I don't feel too bad about myself :)
