In my very admittedly biased opinion, dynamic typing is shit. Garbage collection is shit. "Managed" stuff is shit. "Pythonique" is a marketing hype for a language that actually gets autistic or OCD people arguing over idiomatic ways to write a for a loop. And the breakage of backward compatibility with Python 3. x should be embarrassing for conscientious language designers, but I don't think the people behind Python as a language are conscientious. They're marketing people.
Value semantics are the future as I see it with our hardware. Shared immutable state, unshared mutable state, but not both. So many languages dealing with objects revolve around pointer/reference semantics. C++, in spite of its warts, at least gets it right in promoting value and copy semantics... or at least it did.
What do you use mostly for your job?
