Ok I've bought this device called a lingo which is obviously some type of translator that you pop on your tongue enabling you to speak other languages. I've attached it to my tongue and switched it on but I'm not speaking any foreign languages. To tell the truth I'm struggling to speak even my own. It says made in china so does that mean your base language has to be Chinese?

Of course you will not be able to use it.
The reason is that it is produced in Canton (Guangzhou) where Cantonese is the language. This language is not at all compatible with Mandarin (also called Putonghua) language) which is used by 70% of the Chinese.
You will not be able to have a proper translation if you use this device. The emphasis on Cantonese is the vibrato of their guttural sounds while the Mandarin is more a language where you use the tip of the tongue to create higher pitched sounds.
I would ask for a refund. You were screwed by those selling it to you!

What? You serious? it's not a vibrator for oral sex? Lmao 😂😂😂
but if you are not a troll..
I dont think it would really work. If there ever was a device to make us speak other language i believe it is not enough to attach it on your tongue, you'd probably have to attach the device to your brain or at least your vocal chords.
to put it simply.. youve been scammed but do share if it ever work 🙂
Omg I tried one of those for2 hrs one day after I took it off. To this day I can still lick my eye brows and comb my hair with the tip my tounge. ,, it's amazing. Lol
