What's the fascination with Iphones?

It's just tribalism on both sides. I personally don't like the iOS operating system and think it can be unintuitive and way to basic at times. Wouldn't stop me from using one though. It's just became a thing where if you are apple you are the it group due to great marketing strategies. Android took a different approach and marketed off of the freedom their firmware gives you which almost no one takes advantage of. That is the two dumb sides. Figure out which system you like better and don't worry about what people say. Just dont become one of those how dare you use something other than x. Side note apple computers though are super trashy for the price. You are paying so much more for security where a little common sense would actually go a lot further. Real example one desktop alone comparing parts was up charging about 1300 $ for it. I could built that computer for 1300$ cheaper than what they claim. Their software is not worth 1300$. Their shit is also hackable and can get virus.

I guess they're just more idiot proof because you have less control over the little things and it's a cOoL kIdS thing.
Also eco system. If you get an iPhone, a macbook and apple watch, everything just works together like magic. It's a closed platform, which is why Apple is the only one that can do this on such a highly optimized level.

Do you know what the real difference is? You can give an apple device to someone in their 90s. And they can figure it out and be online in minutes. Android it's ok if you're used to it. But the interface is a bit clunky and that 90 year old will keep asking how you do stuff.


Apple is really user focused and that's the difference. It's why folk keep going back generally.


Now sure you can do more with Android. But there's a reason folk stick with Apple.

I don't know either why most middle class (or pseudo middle class) people get iphones instead of Android or something else. It probably must be a status symbol or being part of the thought bandwagon fallacy. It's not like y'all are mobile developers for ios.

I said the same thing until I got one. The beauty is they hook up all your devices, MacPro, AirPods, watch, and music. If I have material on one device the others can show it too.

they add like 2 or 3 new features and a better camera and charge you like 400 dollars more for every new phone
