It’s whatever. I’d say it’s a longshot as a sustainable or even attainable career option, so I wouldn’t make that Plan A, but you can say that about traditional modeling, or any other number of things that require a genetic advantage of some sort to be successful. But that’s something you can do in your off time from a reliable job, at least to get started. If you can get to a point where some companies will consistently pay you collectively livable earnings just for holding a protein powder packet or a box of “miracle” weight loss tea while you’re in your workout clothes or a bikini, great, run with it as long as you can. It’s just that it’s cliché for a reason, in that tone of people do it in hopes of easy money, if not also attention and fame and all that. So that means the competition is very stiff and you need to be the best of the best, INTERNATIONALLY, to be successful at it. That’s a tall task, so it’s best to have a backup plan that’s actually your first plan, and the modeling is the backup that you hope can one day be your main job. Don’t worry so much about what anyone else thinks of your aspirations, it’s only important that you stay honest with yourself and pursue (or don’t pursue) whatever you need to to get by in life.

Haha, well, in fairness, I don’t even have Instagram, and I wouldn’t use it to look at models myself, if I did. That said, a lot of thirsty dudes will, so if you can cash in, by all means cash in, lmao.

Cliche, yes, but I don’t think it’s embarrassing. Regardless of anyone’s opinion on being an IG model, it can pay more than many 9-5 jobs, and you can make more than even a college graduate. No one can hate on another person earning good money in an honest way, no matter how many people do it now. Not to mention the freebies!
