Seems like every major tech company is being hit hard in some shape or form.
i welcome this. they all need regulations. maybe even broken up by the government as monopolies
Facebook is already in a legal grey area, I hear the Congress in America is trying to shut them down for privacy violations.
Well the Whistle Blower is just arguing for more regulations so they can't spread anymore misinformation and also instagram may need to be taken down altogether since its been known that teenage girls who use it end up self harming themselves or worse.
It's the kind of junk that happens when you let big tech companies monopolize on people's data, I'm honestly shocked the United States government hasn't pressed the matters more firmly on these companies. Since they are American companies we here in Canada doesn't have any real say in what they collect from Canadian users too. But ugh, that's a whole other tangent I would rant about if I had the time to do so.Instagram needs regulations to keep teens safe.
yeah well i hope something meaningful and impactful happens with facebook and instagram as a result of this courageous whistle blower. we'll see. Facebook is currently trying to play defense here and its clear they were not at all prepared for this. we'll see what happens
