Why does it take so long to send an email through your phone?

Question

I took some pics with my phone and sent them to my desktop computer so I could download them. It's been over 1/2 hour and they still have not gotten into my box. Lot's of others have this happen to them too. What's the scab on this?

I'll take a half-hour. I haven't gotten messages from my wife until two hours after she already got HOME!!

Demand for bandwidth is overloading the existing carriers' capacity to carry the digital traffic. And you can't really jam a quarter through a ten-cent hole!

might be because of your phone if you have a lot of stuff running in the background, your carrier, your connection to the google web, or any or all of those combined.

With the right drivers, you can plug your phone into a USB port and download directly almost instantaneously.

Ubuntu Linux users are even luckier. Their desktop will just see the phone as a storage divice. Just drag and drop..

Or you could use a Bluetooth dongle on your PC, if your PC hasn't got BT. Send them by BT from pnone to PC

The server have been slow or your internet connection could have been the issue.
Sometimes attachments just don't make their destination.

here in the uk if the tower is bussy then it can take an age and if you are not in a town it can be very slow

If you are not connected to broadband you are going through a much slower cellular connection.

I don’t usually have that problem unless it’s bad reception then the data is too slow and causes that

Check the file size of the pictures you are sending. Are you on WiFi or regular internet?

Well if the file size is too big it just tells me that and won't send them. But this was like only 4 pics.

One pic can be too big. You can edit the size in your pics or with some email platforms. I don’t know what you use. The default pictures are always huge. Still if you have fast internet, it should t make a difference if you’re connected to it.

Oh it may be due to upload speed. Most service providers upload speed is much lower than download speed
