You have never been to California? Talk about shithole! It is funny... California is such a destination for people and it makes me sad thinking about the people that finally get here and think wtf!It is the definition of shithole and for some reason, people still want to come. Lol!
Been to Vegas, New York, Boston in the States, not made it to Cali yet though, I kinda like the idea of low expectation though lol
How did you find them? What did you like and dislike about each?I can only give an opinion of Vegas. I have not been to Boston or New York yet. I expect I will like Boston but I am not sure about New York. They say you either love it or hate it and I do not think I will know until I experience it.
I loved New York and Vegas to an extent but it felt more like London in England, In the sense that 3 or 4 days visiting is fine but living there on the other hand would be a nightmare. Boston on the other hand reminded me of the city I was raised in (Nottingham) and would be the first place in the States I would relocate to if I ever left England lol
Vegas is interesting to me.When I was growing up, it is was this magical and wonderful place that I could not know (I was young. It was a place my parents visited at the start and end of our vacations and I was stuck at whatever campsite or rv park with my older brothers and sisters... well, with the ones that did not try to sneak in to the casinos. Lol!)The first time I went as a legal adult I was 21 years old and I went with my boyfriend at the time. We purchased tickets for a magic show and they asked me if we wanted the adult show or not. I thought they meant do we want the kids show or not but no... it is Vegas! They meant do we want the “adult show”. I said yes because I was still thinking I did not want the kid show. Well, I definitely did not get the kid show. Lol! I got the barely naked women as they stimulated sex while being levitated. Lol! So many things to rethink in vegas.Years later, I now have two school friends living and raising families in Vegas. It is weird to visit Vegas but not go to a casino. And I am still not convinced raising a kid in Vegas is a good idea. Lol! Maybe stapleford, england would be better?😊
I've been twice, stayed at Excalibur 1st time and Caesars 2nd time... Asking for an Adult show in Vegas is clearly not the same as asking for an adult show in most other places! lol It's the only place I've been to a "Strip club", basically me and a friend were the last two standing after a long night out, we got in a taxi to go back to the hotel, but the driver told us his brother had a nice bar which he would take us too for free, I remember going past the Stratosphere and thinking why are we going in the wrong direction, by the time we sobered up we had been dropped off in a random bar miles of the strip, where when we entered the bar we realised that ordering 2 pints of beer made us immediate targets for the locals. A couple of the female "residents" approached us and when we politely declined their advances we were told in no uncertain terms to either leave or face the consequences by the locals... happy memories lol
Never a dull moment and definitely a place just to visit for a few days. lol!So what do you like the most about where you grew up?
Probably friends and defining memories no matter how mundane those memories were, I left home at 18 and moved over 100 miles away, so it'll always have a soft spot for me but it didn't necessarily define who I am today as an adult.
It may not define you but it may define your expectations in others and that may not be a bad thing. I think we need more optimists in life. I think more of us should think well of others then more of us thinking less...
I couldn't agree more...
It looks like it has good memories. That rock looks interesting
The rock is getting a lot of attention, personally my fondness memories were of the community centre lol
Have an opinion?
it doesn’t interest me, but they do look very beautiful
Oh it's not beautiful at all, It's where I was brought up lol, It was just a bit of a joke question lol
I like the rock haha, it looks very nice haha
The rock is mad to be fair, it's the closest my village had to Stonehenge, apparently it became a place where people practiced witchcraft!
I want to go to england never been😩. where are you from?
A place called Nottingham in the Midlands
Do u have an accent
Yeah, I live in the north of England now so a mixture of Midlander/Yorkshire accent.
That "weird rock" is awesome. You should have made this a mytake!
Haha, I was shocked google had images of my childhood haunts! (the rock by the way has a story all of it's own... I may give that the question/take it deserves lol), the community centre still holds my fondness memories though lol
It doesn't interest ne
It didn't interest me and I grew up there! lol
It is 2nd nicest city after kusek :3
I've always thought of it as honeymoon material after a marriage sack wedding! lol You'd have the proposal at the rock, ceremony at the community centre and reception at the pub ( not sure what part the play ground plays in all of this) lol
yes! then disco dance
I dont think so to be honest
Nope. It sounds boring to me.
