I have been riding motorcycles since 1975.I began on a 100cc two-stroke Yamaha and now have a Yamaha knockoff of a Harley Davidson (way more reliable). There are a few things about motorcycles of which you should be mindful.1. It is dangerous. When driving a car, you can make a mistake and survive. On a motorcycle, the first time that you fuck up is usually the last.2. Never assume that the driver of the car has seen you. That is why there are one-legged former motorcycle riders out there.3. In hot weather, you have to wear all the protective gear. The road and gravel are still there, regardless of the heat.4. Wear proper motorcycle boots, unless you want to lose a foot the first time that you have to put your foot down to save your life.5. One of the definitions of misery is to be on a motorcycle in the rain, during winter.6. I see that your name is in pink, which, I assume, means that you are female. Buy a motorcycle that is proportionate to your size. To control a motorcycle, you have to use your bodyweight in creative ways. The typical woman is simply not heavy enough to control a large motorcycle. For the typical girl, I would say nothing bigger than 750cc. As a beginner bike, I would recommend 250cc.7. Use a riding school motorcycle for many hours before you buy one. It is likely that the first time that you ride in traffic will scare you shitless and that will be the end of your interest in motorcycles.
I am licensed and I can ride, but living in the Bay Area of California, there's so much traffic that it's really not safe. Nearly every day, we have a motorcycle vs. car accident on the freeways, and many of them are fatalities. Everyone I know who owns a bike has been hit.If I was in a less-populated area, then, sure, but as it stands, I don't own a bike.
Yes, there’s a motorcycle school I want to go to. To learn, but it’s 1hr and 15 min drive to get there. Also the class are seasonal due to the weather conditions. On top of that, I don’t have a garage to protect my motorcycle 🏍. Also, since I’m a short girl. I’m looking into motorcycles based on my shortness and protection. Grrll, yes. I had such wishes in life. But was too expensive to buy a motorbike or go to classes. But when I see those ladies with motorbikes, I am just left in awe. Rock on!
Funnest way to get from point A to B but in high traffic areas fastest way to die too. You need to be really good on a bike and have a fast bike to survive the tri-state area. I am from NJ so many accidents with motor cycles. Cars don’t respect them...
I've ridden a motorcycle. I don't anymore, as I have seen too many people at work, who have been badly injured and brain damaged from motorcycle accidents. Even two family have been harmed by motorcycle accidents, one seriously, with permanent disability. So often, what would be a minor accident in a car, kills or badly injures someone on a motorcycle.
I have off and on for the last 42 years, its one of the most switched things a human can do, you have to have your head on a swivel as you are as a group the most vulnerable ones on the road, full gear is a must, helmet, jacket, armour, gloves , boots. the only one out there to protect yourself is you.
My wife introduced me to it, it's great.http://www.wimaworld.com/wima/national-groups/
I have, but it's very dangerous. Your defensive driving skills in a car need to be about 60%. On a motorcycle it needs to be about 100%.
I once got my temporary license for it, but it was stolen, when my mom was robbed (my mom had my wallet, temporarily). And I never went back and got it again. My dad also has his temps and even has a bike, but, it's broken. We don't have the money to fix it, and he never went and got his full license for it
I have been on the back love it.. waiting for my parents to pass before I do.. it might give them a heart attack
Yesssss! I have the need for speed! I’ve drove one before but I didn’t go very far cause we had to turn around, but I would love one if I had the money
i really want to, but my dad doesn't want me to because he had a really bad motorcycle accident a few years back
if you just be persistent and promise him that you'll be safe on it, he'll probably allow it, it'll take a while though
Yeah I’ve ridden several types and owned a couple many years ago, I don’t ride very often now except when visiting my Dad , they are very dangerous because of the other drivers around you so it’s not good in city areas, seems like people have just gotten worse, I got my license at 19 , it was more fun back then and I had someone to ride with too
I want a motorcycle so I can explore the forest roads..
I have been all over USA and some of Canada on motorcycle. LOVE IT ! DO IT! ( But learn to watch well ahead not just vehicle in front of you. You can't stop as fast and there are some stupid drivers in cars )
Yes, and I actually have my own bike! I want a Ducati so bad.
I have. I own 3 my husband owns 2. I love it.
I would love to have a motorcycle, but sadly I can't afford one. I'd get a trimmer model as I'm not a fan of a the bigger ones.
Nope, I like skin on my knees elbows, everywhere else too.
Yes and no. Its cool and all but I live in Sweden and winter can be a bitch.
I have a motorcycle. Need to be very careful. They don't call them "Murdercycles" for nothing.
😃 Hell Yes!!! I use to have a Vulcan 500 LTD and it was fun darting all around town with it. I say you should ride a motorcycle 🏍 and enjoy the thrill.
I didn’t ride one myself, I was on the back of one with a friend. It was chill.
Kinda dying to. My boyfriend has one, and I'm dying for him to take me for a ride
I would if you could do it all year instead of alonly during good weather
Riding is so calming, and I love to ride in rains like heavy rains.

I have one, it's fun, but definitely make sure you have people to ride with. Doing it alone is not nearly as fun, or as safe.
I've ridden dirtbikes and quads and I've been on the back of my stepdads rode bike.
I do ride a motorcycle
I would like to ride a motorcycle.
Absolutely not too scary
It'd be cool but I'm way to afraid to ride on one
