I spent 5 months in Taiwan and didn't post a damn thing. The things I saw over there were incredible. The mountains I climbed, the food I ate, and especially the people I met. It was amazing. I took pictures... sure, I have about 50 of them on my computer right now. I added a picture below. This is the first picture from my trip that I'm sharing with anyone... so count yourself lucky. It's just a typical Taiwanese street at night time, with my moped in the foreground. While I was there I did some pretty awesome stuff, but to be honest, I'm probably going to take most of my experiences there to the grave. I've told plenty of stories, but to borrow from Marco Polo "I haven't told the half of what I saw".Taiwan is easily one of the best places I've been to on earth, and yet there isn't a single record of my trip there on the internet except for this single picture below. I'm going to India pretty soon and there probably won't be any record of that trip online either. I travel for me... not to impress others, or make myself look like some cool travel person. I travel for the experience. Yeah it's nice to look back at pictures, but I just need a few to look at for myself. The rest are just a waste of storage on my phone.
Damn right I would. I have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It was all for fun in the beginning you know see what high school friends are doing now, check out your old college love, or keep track of family living overseas or elsewhere. I can't stand to see someone posting every single thing they do too their three thousand friends. Give me a break you show me one person who has one thousand friends and I'll kick my own ass. Hell I bet you can't name off 250 people you meet and know. Nobody can keep up with that many people. Then they post their trips, their parties, even what they had for dinner that nigh. I think they are all full of shit and just trying to look and feel important.
Yes. It's not fun if you are living it through a lens. Enjoy it while you sre still there. I understand thst you want to takw photos to remember the experience but try to limitvhow much time you spend behind the lens.
To the people who answered B, I wonder how they would survive if they lived in a time before the internet!
Well I guess Youtube is social media, I can't resist posting it thereBut I stopped posting it elsewhere, because people were starting to become jealous
Probably.I'm not on Instagram or anything and I don't really post things on Facebook either, so I guess so.If I moved to the other end of the world or something, then I think I'd update my location on Facebook or something, to show that I've moved.
Yeah I travelled Europe for three moths and only put like 3 snap stories up the whole time because my friends and family were bugging me to see what i was experiencing
Yes, but there are times I feel a story needs to be told. If it can possitively impact others and cause change, then it should be shared. Often times I don't think travel is important enough to do those things, but every once in a while it can.
I just post the food if it’s exotic and a few scenic shots. Not for any haters but because I also enjoy seeing similar things others post
It depends on if I want to share it or not. I don't share on social media everywhere I go, but I do share some things
I rarely post something on snapchat. All other social media is dead to me because I don't want to be manipulated by a skinner box. If someone wants to see some of my pictures, they can ask and I would send it, otherwise the pictures stay with me
Yeah I would if I dont have social media friends I care to keep so updated.
Mainly because I don’t have social media, but also because traveling isn’t about bragging to others who aren’t there. It’s about spending time with the people who are there to enjoy it with you.
Obviously... I don’t post anything to social media.
My life is not The Truman Show. I do not chronicle it on social media.
I do that every time, I have posted like 10 pictures on Instagram, I have hundreds because I like photography and wander around taking shots, the same applies to all vacations and activities
Lol I was gonna do that until I lost my passport:( Now everyone knows because they’re helping me find my passport ☹️😣😖😔
Because I would rather keep that moment to myself. :) I wish I could travel lol
most the time i dont even take pictures let alone share it all on farcebook and alike.
Yes, I don't care about others' validation, what matters to me are all the experiences I have gone through during this travel.
I wouldn't tell people about my sex-capades in South Korea.
Yeah I would because I like photography, specifically nature and architecture.
Yes. I tell my family and show pictures, but I don´t post on social media
Already live that kind of life, always have.Non of anybody's business.
Usually keep it private or tell just a few people. No need to share every minute of my life with everybody.
I have learnt not to share unnecessarily.Infact i even quit more than half of social media. The kind of people who do expose everything are the ones who suffer.
This guy gets it.
To Love so deep that you forget anyone else exist! That's Love
When you're rich you don't take pictures, you just see it again

Yes i have. No one needs to know. All you need is pics for your own memories
