I don’t really drive though so I don’t mind that part specifically. I think traffic in LA is worse though overall.
I don’t think I’ll live here forever though. But while I’m young I like it...
I think you’re thinking of LA?
Isn’t all California like that? I’ve never been, but for some reason that’s the image it gives me.
In understand that’s the popular image of California but in my opinion that is only LA/Southern California. SF is different at least I like to think so...
It’s like when all Americans think Italians are loud when it is just Naples or something haha. One place gives the whole country a bad reputation you know what I mean?
@purplepoppy Because there are some idiot lawmakers who completely mismanage our country. It’s quite troubling really. Trump is one of the first lawmakers in recent history to actually put our country first again.
I don’t get it either I live in San Francisco right now and there are plenty of nice parts pretty places. Only one part of the city can truly be called a dump. But it seems like people get too offended if there is even one thing bad.
@Jack9949 it’s ironic because the governor of California is actually the one who issued a lockdown and prevented a Covid crisis unlike Trump or De Blasio. So I would argue that California government is sometimes more competent than Trump.

Crime in SF is less than Florida I think.
I like it there cause it's international...
Yeah I remember turning down some of the streets, and you couldn't see anything below you until you started descending. It was like blind faith that you weren't going off a cliff.
I hear there's a lot of shit on the sidewalks these days. Most of it not of canine origin...
I like it at least. It’s very pretty and scenic, and historic. Got Haight and Ashbury the original flower power street. Fisherman’s wharf, the first Chinatown, Little Italy, Russian Hill... it’s really hilly though which can suck. People are complaining about homeless people but they’re mostly just in one part of the city. They are a problem though. If you want one hundred percent clean and beautiful then I can see why you want somewhere else...
Yeah, it looks nice, pretty considering what you say and photos.Homeless people and people who are disturbed/complained by homeless people exist in all countries.
HAHAHAHA I'm enrolled in USF right now for my master's degree!
Good luck on getting your Masters. USF is a great uni.
Wow thanks 🙏.
You're more than welcome.
What didn't you like about it?
Living in the city people aren't nice there. Everything was expensive. Everywhere you want to go turns into a hassle. If you own a car its pointless, traffic is horrible and good luck on finding parking. The amount of money just on living is ridiculous. So many homeless, some neighborhoods don't even try to walk through. Tourist areas are just as bad. Muni is not fun, its dangerous and the people can be scary. The beaches smell, the city is not clean. I heard somewhere that, because if all the homeless, it has the highest amount of human poop in the streets than any other city. Have you been there before?
But that my experience with it. If I were able to afford the best of everything I might view the city differently
No, I've never been there. I was just curious. Thanks for answering!
I live in inner Richmond it’s not as bad over here.
Ya I don't know, I lived right in the city
That was fun thanks.
Did you grow up in NorCal or SoCal? Cause I consider SoCal to be too different.
I grew up in So Cal but have spent plenty of time in No Cal. They are indeed different, and both fucked up liberal shit holes in their own rights.
LA is just a bit porn hub.
San Francisco seems boring to me. And like it might be a bit chilly because of the wind.
I don’t mind people hating on SF but I don’t know why they like LA. To me LA is the just too fake.
Sorry that’s just my opinion. Everyone likes different things i guess.
Do you live in SF?
Yeah I moved here from Seattle last year. But I don’t think I’ll live here forever.
Have you been to LA also?
Yeah I have for a mission trip haha. It’s beautiful weather. More spacious than SF. I went to skid row so LA has junky places too. I can see why people like it but I am too influenced by Seattle to really fit in I think.
LA is for Hollywood celebrities, Porn stars, or Mexicans. I’m an Asian male I don’t fit into any of those categories. That’s how I see it at least.
So I would say, nah, I wouldn't live there.
What part of California if you don't mind me asking? Not all parts are the same right?
Mostly in one part of the city not the whole city. And I’ve never seen them do it broad daylight.
But yeah i like SF personally but I can see why most people wouldn’t want to live here. There are dirty parts of the city that’s for sure. But it’s not the whole city.
How is it the drug capital? I feel like that better describe NYC or something.
Are you familiar with the shit problem? SF has a homeless problem which is the direct result of their publicly stated intention to not prosecute drug related offenses. Because of this many drug addicts flocked there and live off the welfare system, live in tents and live in the parks. They shoot up all over the place and defecate everywhere.
Yeah I am aware of that but when you say drug capital I’m thinking of drug lords or something.
google san francisco drug problems www.hoover.org/.../why-drug-addicts-outnumber-high-school-students-san-francisco
I’m saying your terminology is mistaken not your facts. A drug capital means trafficking and drug lords which in my mind is either NYC or Colombia or somewhere like that. SF is just a big client but that doesn’t mean it’s the status of a “capital”. Also I found some interesting stats that drug use is actually higher in other cities than SF americanaddictioncenters.org/.../
ohh, they aren't exporting drugs from San Fran. the demand there is too high They're an importer and enabler. On one hand it is kind of a good social experiment. I tend to be a libertarian (although not an extreme one) and the result of allowing people to do what ever they want is front and center for all to see. But before you think of SF as a Libertarian bastion keep in mind that a true Libertarian system wouldn't give these people financial support through entitlement programs while they are allowed to do all of these drugs. SF has basically turned into an enabler and that makes their problem much worse
Yeah the politics here could be better I agree. The locals out some rocks to get rid of the drug addicts on their streets and the local government towed the rocks away. I’m not sure I want to live here forever but for now while I’m young just want to check it out. thanks for your article.
As a home owner who didn't pay as much for my house as most in SF I would be beyond angry at the government.
