OMG! Read my response! Great minds think alike!
You just speak from ignorance. You know that a lot of japanese don't actually like white people right?
@Taktagamo_Monisense kun I am sure that there are exceptions though for many people that I could come to know over time?
No I doubt it. You'll always just be seen as an outsider to them. Just accept your own culture you never even been to japan like seriously. I've been there and it's not like it's a magical fairy land it's just another place like anywhere else.
@Taktagamo_Monisense san but did you really have to sound kind of harsh and mean about it in your original comment about it to me. The biggest reason why I am eager about it is that I have a very strange feeling that I was one of the last samurai to have been alive that lived through the Meiji Restoration Period and might have lived to be around 120 years even though I only have small amounts of words from the Japanese language at my disposal in this lifetime.
If you cut off your pinky finger I'll believe that you are a samurai that honors whatever weird samurai code japanese believe in. Otherwise you're just living in a fantasy. Sorry to be mean about it though.
@Taktagamo_Monisense san even if I did not go over there for that long I would still want to bring some form of ethics or moral center that people here in the states could really use so that we as Americans don't end up being the big country that got their neck in way too deep into other countries business and end up becoming more hated towards too many other countries that we shouldn't have ended up happening in the first place. What do you suggest on that one?
Although that is a noble aspiration I don't think that is something you individually can do. Just worry about yourself and look inward. Don't worry about society at large. That is the Asian way at least as I see it...
@Taktagamo_Monisense san I did find some reports online that said that India, the Philippines and Thailand were the most accepting of foreign people as visitors. Maybe I should aim to go there rather than where I originally wanted to go even though I will still serve the Code of Bushido in my own way since at least two people would do better with certain tenets than others and view it differently, but the tenets like Chugi for service providing including military work, Jin for hospital work, Yu for social as and police officers, Rei for teachers in schools, Gi and Makoto for courtroom work, and Meyo for political offices could be good examples?
I guess yeah perhaps. I don't know that much about Bushido stuff I'm not japanese I only visited japan briefly and worked with japanese people in the U. S. I'm not a big fan of their culture I think some of it is really crazy and brutal like killing yourself or stuff. You do you...
On my bucket list
@ecfresh I love it here, but I also want to resume traveling places in 2021 hopefully
Would suggest Florida and the Caribbean when you do resume traveling.
