Oh I get it. So by buying the two seats you get double the storage room above and blow. Gotcha. Yeah, you're good then I guess. No one needs the room in the same bin.

Not all planes have enough underseat space. Im referring to overhead bins. They won't let your bags be on your seat until you're up in the air leveled
I think so. They will tell you that the seats are meant for people not for luggage and they're not going to like the baggage on the seat because they'll say it's not safe which it kind of isn't.
No I mean I get extra compartment space too because I got what 2 people would otherwise have and 2 seats I can tuck things under
Apparently CPAPs and other medical devices are essential and not counted. And neither is a business laptop I just found out. I am relieved though. When traveling for months on end I need a few extras
I hope what you just wrote is correct. Just be aware that Airlines can do really kind of random things and there's not much you can do about it and if you argue with them they just kick you off the flight.
I don't know this is just what they say so I smell a lawsuit if they mess with me www.southwest.com/html/customer-service/baggage
I suggest you formulate a Plan B just in case. I sincerely hope you won't need it, but the SW gate agents do weird stuff sometimes.
The overhead compartments are not reserved for any particular seats - however - do this: When you get there (arrive early!), tell the gate agent "I need to have a particular seat on the plane, and I need early boarding". They are absolutely NOT allowed to ask why, and they will give you a pass to board early without questions, and that may help with all of this.
