What do you think about Michelle Carter's guilty verdict?

She was convicted of encouraging her friend committing suicide via text messages back when they were 18, and now she is 20. she is convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

I think she needs some kind of mental treatment for her messages that's for sure, but I still find it a little excessive. 20 year conviction over someone who also needed mental treatment because of suicidal thoughts. I am sorry for the girl, I feel 20 years is too much for the crime.
