That was a sports store. It wasn't 'devastated' so how could you say they are desperate when they were looting before the hurricane actually arrived?
Obviously related to one of the looters lol! "Desparate" is looting Walmart for a can of tuna not "dem fresh Nikes mang!" All 18 pairs. 15 aren't even his size. www.facebook.com/.../
Maybe they're broke and want to sell the stuff for money. If they haven't evacuated then they're likely poor; a lot of people don't have a car to evacuate in, or money to leave, or anywhere to go if they do. Huge companies like Nike can afford the losses and if there's no staff their stealing the stuff isn't risking their jobs the way shoplifting would. So tbh I don't care that much.
@demonics if she was a store owner, she wouldn't be saying that.
... or a normal human being
How can you be ok with this? They dont need a pair of $150 shoes. It is stealing... they need to be prosecuted.
@Rissyanne Companies like Nike steal the labour of their workers, fuck them and their profit margins tbh
It just isn't Nike. It is private businesses. and homes... I guess you are ok with that to
@Rissyanne homes and 'mom and pop' type shops it depends what they steal. But tbh if the place is gonna get flooded a lot of stuff's going to get wrecked anyway..
No.. it is wrong. If they came into my business or home... they would meet the end of my gun.
@Rissyanne mm well we established on another thread that your morals allow for killing people over tvs. Don't really see how you can justify that but whatever
If someone breaks into my home... I have a right to protect my property. Just because you have some kind of white guilt or you have done some looting yourself... doesn't mean I dont have that right.
@Rissyanne nice racism there assuming anyone breaking into your place is automatically going to be non white, jeez. People have a right to their lives and their safety; prisoners who've committed truly hideous crimes have that. The only reason you'd be justified shooting somebody is if it were to protect yourself or others from actual harm at their hands
Have you ever heard of the castle law? I have a right to protect my property. If you want to be that giving... just leave our door open with a sign saying "Take my shit". But expect other people to be so ignorant. I am done with this... muting.
@Rissyanne yes, although in the UK we don't have it. A lot of states of the US where it does exist specify that the homeowner must reasonably believe that the intruder intends to inflict bodily harm or death upon them or another occupant of the property, and that these intentions are unprovoked.
Stand Your Ground: No duty to retreat from the situation before resorting to deadly force; not limited to your property (home, office, etc.).Castle Doctrine: Limited to real property, such as your home, yard, or private office; no duty to retreat (use of deadly force against intruders is legal in most situations); some states, like Missouri and Ohio, even include personal vehicles.Duty to Retreat: Must retreat from the situation if you feel threatened (use of deadly force is considered a last resort); may not use deadly force if you are safely inside your home.
Is he going to eat those?
