If Palestinians and Muslims think they can influence us goverment and Israeli government policy with violence they are mistaken and must be shown that we will never now to violence ot terrorism
It's not like the US military influences any government's policy, is it?
I saw that. A clear case of anti-semitism and intolerance if there ever was one.
I would add that it's not just extreme leftists but also extreme right. So the case would be for both sides on the extreme fringes.
@MarianneF Very true.
Yep. Anti-zionism is often a disguise for Anti-Semitism since it's just denying the right to self-determination of Jews, because they are Jews. Too bad it's becoming a more popular cover for anti-Semites.
It's been put off for over 20 years and they are no closer to peace and Europe is being attacked by isis almost every month
Surprisingly, the demonstrations and such in the area itself are getting less by the day. Today, only a couple hundred turned up. Elsewhere (Morocco and Indonesia specifically) in the world the turnout for protests is far bigger.
@tartaarsaus of course because there's no point, they could protest until the cows come home they are never going to change it.

Tell me, Asker, where are all the liberals spouting stuff like this?
Aggravating them is better than arming and training them like obama did
Perhaps you forgot. Trump is in office, and no amount of blaming others who used to be in office, takes away from the responsibility that Trump has for his decisions. If the best you can say is that Trump isn't as bad as someone who you thought was a terrible president, then that sure doesn't say much for Trump, who is not working with increased information compared to his predecessors.
Exactly and that's why it's important to stand with the only democracy in the region that is surrounded by enemies who will use any means to attack it including the U. N. Human rights council which for some reason has the biggest abusers of human rights sitting on it.https://youtu.be/Akws8S4FVNM
Standing with the only democracy in the region is not the same as being foolish and our recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol, which unnecessarily aggravates many Muslims, and makes it easier for terrorist groups to recruit more terrorists, resulting in more American deaths.
We had 8 years of pussy footing around and all it got us was ISIS.
The issue was recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol. Not recognizing Jerusalem has noting to do with pussy footing around. Or do you equate "pussy footing around" with making wise decisions that protect American lives? Sound like you do.
The best way to protect American lives is a travel ban on extremist countries.
Please, go get some real facts, not made up ones. It's a waste of time to talk with ignorant people who are devoted to a fool.
That is a fact just look at where most of thd ISIS attacks occur.
So, you're telling us Nazis and their sympathisers are anti-semitic? Wow! Who knew? Also, being against Israel's actions is not the same as anti-semitism; it's a consistent support of anti-oppression.
@goaded No, not "telling us". I was answering a question. You thought I was addressing you. Also, being against Israel's actions IS the same as anti-semitism; it's a consistent support of double moral.Nobody is being oppressed in Israel, Israel is NOT oppressing anyone (Muslims, Catholics, arabs, get elected into government). Gaza? Oppressed by their own stupid government (flash news for you: they are also blocked by Egypt), Golan Heights Oppressed by the PA (flash news for you: they are not being evicted from "their homes" and nobody is "building on disputed territories", really inform yourself). Now, double standards is: Israel has no right to defend against the "poor oppressed people that shoot rockets in order to kill every other day, or run cars or stab" while you shout justice against the poor North Koreans that are shooting ICBMs to defend themselves from the oppressive USA -which I do not believe BTW- or get outraged when an idiot runs over people in NYC )
So typical of an extremist to feel offended for free
Do you understand the concept of sarcasm?Israel is not the same as "the Jews", their behaviour doesn't represent all Jews, any more than the UK government represents all Anglicans, and therefore criticism of Israel's government is not the same as anti-semitism.Also, as just one example from your unsupported list of claims: you can't just say "these settlements aren't on disputed land", when other peole disagree; that's the whole point of a dispute! (Also, it's been less than a year since the UN voted against Israeli settlements "Israel’s Settlements Have No Legal Validity, Constitute Flagrant Violation of International Law, Security Council Reaffirms", https://www.un.org/press/en/2016/sc12657.doc.htm .)
@goaded Unfortunately for your line of thought (and possibly for the websites that you frequent) in this particular case (not other country is exactly like this one) "THE JEWS IS EXACTLY EQUAL TO ISRAEL"
@goaded The UN can vote as many times as they want against Israel, Nikki Haley already made an statement denouncing their Anti-Semitic tendencies. The UN is a complete joke these days. Saudi Arabia presiding the Women's Rights Council? HAHAHAHA
"the websites I visit"? Like the UN website? Wikipedia (English and German)? The BBC? They all report the same, that the settlements are in disputed territory (between the 1949 and 1967 borders).Which websites would show me the "truth" you're peddling?
@goaded Yep all of them. UN? Anti-semitic, Wikipedia? It's an electronic encyclopedia, and is open sourced, so it's recursing (reports what UN already said). BBC? Always Anti-Semitic, they have been sued time and time again on that subject. And as you said before, I am not here to "school you" right? So go and do your homework.
So, doing something like this is beyond you?https://www.un.org/press/enen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli-occupied_territorieshttps://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israelische_Siedlunghttp://www.BBC.co.uk/news/world/middle_eastLike you say, wikipedia is open-source; why not correct it? Perhaps because you'd need to justify your changes?
@goaded All I hear now is Blah, blah, blah, repeating your sources, as if copying the URLs make them "real".But don't feel bad, you get your 10 points for knowing how to use "ze internet", how to copy-paste and you get a ticket for a senile outdated ex-rock legend support idiotic Anti-semitic movements. You did well!
Thank you for posting this!
This is hilarious. You call the UN a joke but you call others "extremists". Talk about uninformed extremism. You know who is a joke? The neocon cucks in the US government and their pathetic allies in the Middle East (be it Israel or Saudi Arabia) that have been fucking up the entire region for 60 years and killed millions of innocent civilians.
@BlueCoyote when the worst abusers of human rights sit on the UN human rights council and use it as a platform to attack Israel yeah I call that a joke.https://youtu.be/9JqqaXEEmxA
@asker: And guess who is Saudi Arabia's best buddy? Yes, the oh-so-innocent, oh-so-virtuous US.Do I like the idea of Saudi Arabia presiding the UN? Nope. Of course not. But it's a democratic organization that is based on the principle that every country has the right to speak and every country gets its turn. It would be wonderful if there were only countries like Iceland in the world, but unfortunately it's not like that.In Switzerland, we have a very unique form of government. Instead of a president or a prime minister, we have 7 leaders (called "federal councils"). They are from 4 different parties. They all have the same power and the same rights. However, every year one of them is the group's (and the country's) "president". He or she doesn't actually have more power but it's an important role for formalities and also representative means. Every year, there is a rotation and someone else becomes president. Now, some of these people have odious ideas I vehemently (cont.)
disagree with. But they still get their turn. Just like everyone else in that group. And that's a great thing. Because if we would only allow people in important positions who agree with us, it wouldn't be a democracy anymore.Saudi Arabia has to modernize - we all agree on this. But you don't achieve that by excluding them and treating them like heretics (even if you think of them that way). The same goes for North Korea too. If you want to change other countries for the better, you have to do it in a constructive way. One first step would be for western nations and especially the US to support the Saudis financially. There could be a deal along the lines of: "as long as you ignore human rights, we're not going to support you anymore". And the same goes for Israel. The EU has already blocked products that come from the West Bank. Now that things have developed in such an unfortunate direction, it's maybe time to boycott all products that are currently being imported by Israel.
Sorry. Thats supposed to say 95% of Jews are Liberal's.
Why what's going on?
Its basically everyone against everyone and the smallest change may leaf to fights and dead people. Religion against religion, confession against confession, country against country,...
Israel is not on fire and is the only democratic civilised country in the region
Arrogant view. See now the demonstration started. Why did they need to change the place of embassy? Its not worth to kill people for it. But who cares they are just Moslems..
Muslims are responsible for their own violence.
Also for stealing there country? May somebody should occupying a part of your flat and deny you to move freely and restrict if you can go outside for work or buy food etc so you understand better how they feel.
Stealing their country? The entire Arab world attacked them with the intention of wiping them out on the land they lived on but the brave Jews fought off the attempted genocide and their attackers forfeited land as the spoils of war.
100 years ago it was not Israel, it was just by some arrogant colonial countries decided that the Arabs should give the part of their territories to the Jews so no wonder there pissed of about it. And now through war its grows already by more than 100%
100 years ago it was part of the ottoman empire in which the Jews and Arabs were subject people's. Historically there was never a Palestinian nation until 1948 when the UN quite fairly deceided to allow both the Palestinian people and Jewish people to set up their own countries in they areas they each lived in but the Muslim Arabs hated the idea of of a non Muslim people ruling themselves and attacked, this pattern of dominating non Arab Muslim populations repeat itself all over the middle East with the Assyrians, Coptics, Kurds, eastern Christians, Armenians, zoastrians and so on. Arab Muslims in the middle East do not allow other people's freedom.
Yeah but the ottoman was Moslems mainly. And Jews and Arabs and all others lived happily together. But then more and Jews came and say its their place and then just some people decided to create new countries on the paper. Of course nobody was happy with it. The ottomans loosed their territories. The colonialists countries loosed control over there assigned territories. The Arabs got overruled by more and more Jews and pushed out from there homes. The Jews had to fight to create there own country and the resistance of the Arabs who lived there and the fears of so many new Jews coming to there place.
The Ottomans lost the Arab part of their empire through defeat in war. The Jews were give the small strip of land they lived on as were the Palestinians. The loss of Arab Muslim land to the Israelites is due to the Arabs losing a war they started. The colonist countries you speak of are France and Britain who took middle eastern lands from their ottoman enemies as the spoils of war.
Yes and the Brits promised the land to everyone also to the Arabs. Its always bad if people and countries are shuffled around like toys. Arabs and Jews have both their claims and points. The question is how you solve it, with diplomacy or with war and blood.
The Arab muslims got their land and the Jews got theirs so it worked out fair. What's not fair is the Kurds, zoastrians, Yazidis, Shabak people, Mandaeans, Coptics, Druze, Bahá'í, Maronites, Syriacs, Assyrians, Armenians and other people's are still dominated and oppressed in Arab Muslim countries and unlike the Jews they have as of yet been unable to win their freedom.
Oh yeah just because others do also shitty things and may be are even worse everything what Israel does is OK. And the people lived there before, just because there got some part of the land doesn't makes it OK for those who had to move. I don't see anything fair in it, it only created a lot of chaos and pain for many people so far. And the hardliners seem to win all the times.
All Israel has been doing is protecting it's people from attack since 1948 from the enemies that have been trying to committ mass genocide against them.
The difference is you change the name from antisemitism to antizionism because you don't want to literally be Hitler lol
We should stop interceding in their wars and civil wars and let them solve it themselves, all we are doing is drawing the conflict out. I'm sure the Syrian civil war would have been over a few years ago if NATO didn't bomb Assad and at the same time arm ISIS. Even yet there's an investigation going on with the British government about money they sent to train police ending up in the hands of ISIS.
Syrian war is calming down people got bored I can tell because I'm Syrian.
Wait.. you think Trump will improve the situation?
I doubt there will ever be peace in the middle east, throughout history, the middle east was always at war.
@AndroKN thought it was the russians kicking ass
@Thisperson98 Erm.. no it wasent. The middle east has been unified several times already and also been otherwise stable. The instability in the middle east is a fairly recent thing and is mostly just down to mishandling by European powers after periods of colonialism and such.
I'm talking about now.
Even then that is questionable. What I think is far more likely is a perpetual cycle of bad governments suppressing their people followed by uprisings and crackdowns and possibly new governments.
Everytime we try to help we make it worse.
Well yeah, USA is fucking terrible at it but that seams to just be because they are not interested in peace in the middle east in the first place.
Antisemitism manifests itself in a variety of ways. Social antisemitism, economic antisemitism, religious antisemitism, and political antisemitism
No link with antisemitism here. Many Jews are opposed too: https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/.premium-1.827109https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/1.827053
Plenty of support too.www.thejc.com/.../...ald-trump-peace-plan-1.448048www.haaretz.com/.../.premium-1.827425
And WHO wants Israel to have another Intifada on its hands? Anti-semites or extremists.
Both do. Both think the Jewish people shouldn't be free of Arab Muslim domination just like other non Arab Muslims.
Moving the US embassy will not change anyone's domination. It can only trouble a fragile peace balance.
Or once again demonstrate us support for Israel the only democracy in the middle East.
As if the US were champions of democracy? :D :D :D How many democratic elected presidents did the CIA topple? The GOP repeats often that the US isn't a democracy but a Republic.
As if the Belgians are champions of anything except genocide.
You again? https://i.imgur.com/Ckvd2KE.pngnew3.fjcdn.com/pictures/Bullshit_846de1_374563.gif
You deny the awful history of your people in Africa, no one was more brutal than the Belgians in Africa, when it comes to genocide you guys are up there with Hitler and Stalin. https://youtu.be/LcF9fmTzqkg
Leopold II was a curse to Belgians too.
The same countries that put his family in power forced Leopold II to stop his activities and hand over Congo Freestate to Belgium.
Yes and some Nazis were nice guys too...
I bet it's not even mentioned in Belgium history books or school history text books
I seriously doubt you read these.
No, he just stated that the capital city is Jerusalem, so far, the embassy will remain in Tel-Aviv with projections to build the new one some years ahead. Not surprised since building it may require the utmost levels of security.
@MarianneF yeah I know I'm watching the news now
Jaw-jaw is preferable to war-war.
Well the screwed up in Syria, Libyia and half a dozen other countries
Yes, but bear in mind Afgahnistan is still going on after, what, 15 years?
@goaded yes Afghanistan is one country and that actually goes back to Bill Clinton's dealings with the Taliban
I think you mean Reagan in the 1980s. And you haven't forgotten Iraq, have you?
They just made a friend in Donald. Of course it helps that ivanka and her kids are jews
A friend is all it takes to practice nepotism.
Like Bill Clinton's presidency?
If Trump supports these ideals, why does he (pretend to) like Jerusalem?
The ideals of nationalism*
How independent is Israel, if it gets billions a year from the USA? Surely, they should reject the money and stand proudly alone!
@goaded Egypt gets the same
Not quite the same, but a lot, yes.
@goaded It's only 3.6 billion a year, of which 75% is then spent in the USA. That's not a lot when you have a GDP of hundreds of billions.
@tartaarsaus Probably be better spent on schools in the us
@asker Meh, it's an insignificant amount. Investing it in Israel, with the result of almost all money effectively stimulating your own industry, is a good idea. Especially if Israel offers you over 50 billion in bilateral trade every year, technological advances and a powerful ally in the area. 3.6 billion is money well spent
So take her now, it's about as safe as it ever was. At least now security will be tighter.
Israel itself is quite safe. Just the West Bank is a shitty area to go to
Anti semetic much?
Unclear a lot?
We've Bern at war with Arabs since 2001 as well as a period in the mid 70's to mid 80's then again in the Gulf war and U. N. sanctions with Iraq. You could argue that we've been at war since around 900AD when the muslim Arabs attacked the Christian world.
Go look it up dudeThey're burning American and Israeli flagsThis was a BAD idea
Think about it will soon be 20 years since 9-11 and the war on terror.
Dems voted to do this back in 1995.
Trump just threw out another shiny thing.Probably to distract from the subpeona for his banking records.
