It seems like to the content creator of the Fan-made film, it isn't about the money to him but more about the principles and that Disney apparently refuses to even give credit to him.
It’s undeniable the maker deserves credit. I’m assuming the news is that Disney stole Vader and aren’t giving due credit + compensation for the work. There’s *no scenario where the creator’s work is “rightfully suppressed then exploited.”
They didn't claim or steal "credit" for anything. The original credits are still in the description of the video for everyone to see and Disney made no attempts to make it seem like they were involved in the process of the making of the video or anything. They simply just monetized what is rightfully their content. In all honesty, the Youtuber is behaving like a child, he should be thankful he was allowed to make anything in the first place.Because to many creators, myself included, derivative works are very much an actual theft, so it is surprising for Disney to allow it in the first place.
