They're nothing less than bureaucratic dictating b*******.
I've been made to understand that the EU has been really frustrated with the lack of progress, and that they couldn't care less about what happens, as long as Brexit itself happens.
Yes the EU is frustrated by not getting the deal they want. Actually they care a lot this could be the fall of the EU. So they have to make the deal still gives all the power to the EU or completely fucks over Britain that's why they're never going to agreed to it.
I'm lead to believe that the "Gold Cap Brigade" have certain stipulations, criteria, rules, regulations and God knows what else, that entire EU have to "Obey By" before anyone is even allowed to sneeze, let alone put two fingers up and say Ta Ta we're gone.
You seem to feel quite strongly about this, why don't you like the deal she came up with?
Because the deal is pretty much Britain remaining in the EU but without any say and less autonomy. Her deal involves us potentially being trapped in a customs union with the EU forever, which means we still have to follow EU regulations. The backstop on Northern Ireland also means we will have to accept something like a single market for Northern Ireland, which potentially could mean that there will still be a free movement of people going on. So, essentially her deal means that the UK will have no control over forming its own trade agreements with countries around the world and we won't have control over our own borders. The UK gains nothing from this deal.
Woah... yeah that's not good at all.
It seems like there are a lot of people who don't feel that leaving the EU would ruin the British economy. Based upon my understanding of the economics within the EU, I have a tough time believing that the UK wouldn't be better off in the long run if it left.
From my POV I've been In the EU most of my life It means we can travel without extra hassle etc. UK Used to be a very powerful country In control of many other countries, yes we still have our allies but we gave back most countries, people are delusional and still believe "british" has a meaning to it, It doesn't anymore our country Is making a fool out of itself.Immigration Isn't bad, most of my doctors are immigrants I haven't seen a British doctor for a bloody while! Yet we complain about immigrants? How strange when they're more hard working than us.We could argue all day about this, but for me It's tiring lets agree to disagree.
Parliament very much does want to leave. Hence why many of them voted down May's deal. It is a big misconception that the reason people voted Brexit was because of immigration.
Just so I'm clear, do you feel that the fact "British" doesn't have any meaning to it, might be exactly why so many people want the UK to leave the EU?
Yes, But In the way we aren't powerful anymore and haven't been for years. We should stay In the EU, We're a joke to the rest of the EU. The number of people I meet online who tell us our country is going to shit, or is going 3rd world Is astonishing.
@winterfox10Feeling ‘British’ had nothing to do with why Leave won as the other user incorrectly believes. Remainers are adamant in painting all Brexit supporters as illiterate racist nationalists. The reasons for why Leave won is very similar to why Trump won. People were sick of EU bureaucrats and the typical political status quo.
@HomoFuge didn't say thats why? I said the people who voted Brexit are like that, my mother the chavs etc.
A very small minority of people who voted Brexit are like that but news channels like BBC tend to show them as the majority because they're heavily biased towards Remain.
@HomoFuge I dont go off the BBC, I dont like to generalise I won't say all are like this. The ones I know are.
The newspapers are not much better than BBC either. I will admit that politicians spread lies on both side, Boris making up that crap about how we send 450 million pounds a week to the EU.
@HomoFuge I don't read newspapers either, lol. I get my sources from online, or friends and then form my own opinion.

They did vote to leave which is why this is happening. The reason Brexit is so confusing is because many British have forgotten that they used to actually be a sovereign nation. They are so used to being a client state of the EU that they can't conceive of standing in their own two legs.
One side had more votes than the other, amount of difference between the two is irrelevant. Is 7 equal to 8 because they're close in numerical value?
Strictly speaking, the border could have customs controls, just not be militarised. And the money does pay for everything else. But yes, they're load of useless, bloody loonies. The girl on Question Time had it right; Cameron promised a referendum to avoid losing a few seats to UKIP, ignoring the damage it could do to the country. Party before country is always bad (the losing side is called the loyal opposition for a reason).
Unbelievably, she is possibly going to push for a fourth vote on her deal.
@HomoFuge You're joking? I can't take her seriously any more.
God forbid that the idiots ever, dare hold another referendum, for that will totaly destroy all the remaining democracy that this Country has left.
They don't really have a couple more months though. As I understand it, they have a few weeks
They have whatever they want to have. They're the politicians who are in charge of how it happens. That's like saying I only have a few weeks before I have to decide if I'm ever ganna eat a sandwich again. I can decide for or against a sandwich however I choose.
Perhaps... There seems to be very little actual benefit to being in the EU for the UK at this point.
No it's not. It's a withdrawl in accordance with the country's constitution.
It's not anywhere near as complicated as people make out it is.
It's only complicated because of those blasted bureaucratic dictating b*******.
Well, it won't matter Cake. The UK is leaving. And the folks claiming this isn't complicated will have plenty of explaining to do. Because things are about to become really complicated.
@RolandCuthbert Let's just wait and see shall we.And how will this affect you anyway?
@EmmaMary It doesn't. But one does not have to be a UK citizen to see there are many different opinions as to what does Brexit means and how it should be handled. Otherwise, the UK would have an approved plan already. The funny thing is, there is a plan. And no one likes it. edition.cnn.com/.../h_57059921bcb99524e1621ca771cf01de
@RolandCuthbert And now the parasites who call themselves MP's, the so called British Government, will have another twelve days pay in their pockets/purses, as well as continuing to make this once fine Country the laughing stock of the world.
@EmmaMary Yeah, I don't see how any of that is a response to my point. But it's your country.Good luck over there! Probably be visiting next Spring if things hold together!
@RolandCuthbert Thank you very much kind reply, my last comment was actually referring to the link you included, where it now mentions the new date of April 12th.It's not just Good Luck we need, we desperately need good old fashion Common Sense, and banging all those idiots heads together would help as well.Anyway, there we must leave it before my blood pressure goes even higher!
