With automation there just won't be enough jobs to go around. You can't reskill for a job that no longer exists
I disagree. Those new jobs will be both to create/maintain the automated systems as well as offer new products and services that have yet to be invented. In addition as the global economy grows there will be need in pockets of the world that isn’t a priority today.
That's not how automation works. Automation means fewer jobs most likely sent abroad to the lowest bidder.
No. While a lower bid is one aspect in capitalism there is many other aspects involved in securing contacts and building relationships. While some jobs shift between borders, others are created domestically and grow organically. Thankfully here in the US the economic culture encourages small business and entrepreneurs to take risks and create new industries. The fear of automation and a view that it will greatly increase unemployment over a long time span was popular 100 years ago and likely will be popular 100 years from now.
That all ends with automation.
Ok now I understand, you were not seeking a conversation.

How would you buy a car then?
... Buy it? That said it would be interesting if there was a subscription type of service that sent a car for you like a taxi anytime you needed it and then fucked off to the next poor sod. Would mean I would not have to pay insurance or fix my car when it broke and no more looking for parking spots.
How would you get a free ride if you can't pay? Last i checked countries with the best piblic transport systems charge a lot for them.
I pay around 10 euro a month for a buss card and free public transportation is by no means unknown either. Again though, money is a concern for the living and self driving cars would possibly save over a million lives a year worldwide.
And where will the money to subsidise public transport come from if there's no jobs.
Good question and one that needs to be answered because the elimination of most jobs is inevitable with or without Elon Musk.
Although providing a source would be nice
Hundreds of millions, my ass. lol
Yuh. When i read it, i knew it was bullshit
CEO- Takes the biggest risk so they get the biggest reward Regular worker- takes minimal risk so they get minimal reward
@Klipp armies of unemployed workers kill CEO?
If people don’t like their job they should have done more with their lives
@Klipp like taking back from the capitalists?
You socialist ALL OF AMERICA is capitalist, also socialism by the way which I assume you follow means everyone is poor
@Klipp how is that different from right now?
Cause not everyone is poor, if you are that’s just a situation you put yourself in, life is setup for opportunities but you must risk more to get more
@Klipp everyone is poor except the 1%.
The 1% is the very richest but anyone above $100,000 income is considered upper class so that’s false -if your smart that money can be used wisely to get what you want
@Klipp the 1% use and engineer the system to make themselves wealthier, over 90% of the Worlds wealth is controlled by 1% of population
That’s a bad example as America is very unique compared to other controls ex: Russia’s pretty much dictatorship, also the people are controlled by the government which is just more people so that makes no sense
Can you all not argue on my thread?
