This 1 particular church...
This is actually a common argument where you take a subject and switch out something you might be biased for to something you might be biased against. There are many ways this is useful such as to get past your positive bias by imagining how this would look like for someone who does not share your positive bias to also examine the "worst possibility" where what you have a negative bias against is instead given this power.Another important thing to remember is that if Churches are allowed to create their own police forces then nothing stops Mosques from doing the same so its by no means inaccurate either.
@Soteris again is a mosque forming a police force? No but a Christian Church is so let's focus on that. I passed fifth grade US history so I am well aware of separation between church and the state. It's unfortunate that others don't. Try to refrain from cherry picking the Constitution. People whine and bitch about the second amendment being in the constitution which I agree with, but separation between church and the state is thrown out the window.
Why does it matter if its a Church or a Mosque that is forming the police force? Its equally bad either way.
@1truekhaleesi If you passed the fifth grade, then you understand the role that precedent plays in our legal system, for the establishment of common law. While this question could have been worded better, it's still relevant. Would you be comfortable with a radical mosque having its own police force?
@HungLikeAHorsefly religion is the biggest steaming pile of bullshit I've ever heard so I'm not comfortable with ANY religious establishment having a police force. Unlike other people, I'm going to focus on the religious establishment that has already been made. Instead of focusing on the potential idea that a religious establishment CAN make a police force. Then again I don't hate Muslims so I'm not going to be angry at them for something they haven't done, at least not yet. Again, if they do make a police force come complain to me.

True but, would the law not also give the power to mosques
Ya thats interestingThe mosques wouldn't do it lol they dont want cops near them hahah All their illegal stuff you know
True they probably won't but imagine how fast this law would change if they did
Its no worse than a mall having armed security, or banks having armed guards
I thought Alabama was a hardcore right wing state, with like a very “Christian” lifestyle... this is shocking to me.
Perfect showcase of how blind liberals are
@Kaazsz I am the opposite of liberal
