Boracay Island was my old 'hood, my old playground. Some of the cops/officials there are friends of mine. We may not have strict standards there in consideration of visitors wanting to have fun but wearing "somethings that are nearly nothing" is kinda pushing it. Have some respect, will 'ya?
I'm from the Philippines myself and people would totally react to this 'scandalous' choice of outfit even if you're in a beach. Filipinos are conservative and they would be 100% shookt if they see this on person or even online.
Police might have shown a little mercy and given her a chance to cover up and if she didn't comply THEN hit with the fine. But, a law is a law and they were certainly within their rights to ding her for breaking it.
