I did some research and wildlife trade is illegal. So if anything this was the result of illegal activity not law abiding citizens...
@Agamogenesis I undertsand those markets were operating, legal or not... just turn the other cheek. they shut them down after. there's videos showing the markets in other countries still running... e. g. thailand. that's what I thought I saw... I say thought, becuase who knows what is really true that is reported. t
Nah America has the most Chinese immigrants outside of Asia. It's clear to most Chinese people that its the most advanced country. Or maybe UK too. Western worship has been stuck in Chinese minds for generations.
I agree. Their awful government is what messes everything up for the rest of the Chinese. They have a gorgeous culture and history. It's those communist fat cats who are to blame!
@Physics-Man The government taking off regulations limiting the variety of animals that could be together in wet markets is what allowed this situation to arise.
@Ad_Quid_Orator and the CCP giving disinformation allowed it to propagate at levels it shouldn't have
Yeah, we all know that never ends well*cough Spanish Flu.Which fittingly enough is only called the Spanish Flu because Spain was the first country to report it because the other countries deliberately suppressed information about it so it wouldn;t undermine the war effort...... and then it killed more people than the war itself. The CCP should be held accountable on both allowing the virus to come about and suppressing info.
@Ad_Quid_Orator yeah I agree that this is the fault of wet markets and technically speaking the sale of wild animals is forbidden but the enforcement of those policies could have been better. I don’t blame the government completely because it wasn’t exactly a sanctioned practice. I blame the uneducated people who supported wild life trade illegally. But those people don’t represent the more normal law abiding citizens of China or whichever country.
I agree. Those wet markets started everything...
@Agamogenesis Yes, and the Chinese government is to blame for all of that.
I did some research and found out that wildlife trade is illegal. so it’s not really the governments fault since this was done by people who weren’t following the law. however, the lesson still stands that we need to crack down harder on illegal activity especially if it stands a chance of harming other people.
@Agamogenesis It's illegal now, but only because the Chinese government JUST banned them after the COVID-19 disaster.www.businessinsider.com/china-bans-wildlife-trade-consumption-coronavirus-2020-2
Agreed. The pandemic just gives them an excuse to act what they have already been feeling.
