Downvote this, cocksuckers:
Italy imposed a lockdown two weeks. Still 5 to 6 thousand people confirmed as positive every day and around 600-700 dead every day.A virus doesn’t disappear that quickly, as any measure for example tends to have a lag of a few weeks
@tartaarsaus Comparing apples and Pineapples and saying they are the same because both have 'apple' in the name! More unknown than known, and so many just believing the media hype, for their ratings, and their biased reporting for those ratings and drama!
Well, no. Lockdowns have effect after a while because people tend to become very ill from it, if they do, after some days. The incubation period is two weeks, hence you’d only isolate the effects of the policy by examining the numbers two weeks later. Also, the news here has a mandate by law to air at a specific time and that has been the case since I think the 1970s. They don’t even make a profit, as they are not allowed to do so, by law. And if you ever have seen it, there is no drama aspect. It’s all nice and well to say it’s comparing apples and oranges, but that is nonsense here. It’s the exact same virus with the exact same incubation period and the exact same symptoms

.01still winning but not by that much
You are right, I forgot three zeros 😅
10% would cause real chaos
I understand there are two strains and the one prevalent in Italy is the one that is more virulent. Also, Italy has the second-oldest population in the world next to Japan, so that probably doesn't help either.
I think that's misleading. They didn't test enough to know. I suspect the fatality rate is almost nothing due to how infectious it is. If 10 are infected and 5 die it's very different from 100,000 infected with 5 deaths.
@meesegoMoo For most people it takes a couple weeks to die, so a lot of those now infected are going to die. Now it is turning out a lot of younger people are dying as well.
@zagor That doesn't change the percentage. Only folks with pre-existing conditions are dying. Youngsters smoke, so they don't have great lung health and that is why they die. This thing is going to infect everybody at some point.
What is important to look at is of the cases that concluded, how many recovered and how many died. According to that website, 72% of the cases concluded ended in death. More people in the U. S. are dying than recovering, a lot more.
108 million in the US have hypertension which according to the reports from Italy's doctors is the most at risk group of any.
And Italy said they'e stopped counting he deaths which could explain why the worldometer has stopped at 6077 for Italy now.
"And Italy said they stopped counting deaths'"
@October808 Yea I bet, but America is not prepared. We got governors making decisions while the President does whatever he does, talking nonsense about everything will be fine soon for people to go back to work. By the end of the week, America will likely have 1,000+ deaths. In two weeks, probably double that.
Oh I know. I'm about 110% certain the US will be #1 and stay at the top of the charts until the UK catches up.
China is 4.3 times as large as the US tho
@tartaarsaus Yea that. s true. That's why i also don't think they will have more infections than China.
