I find it annoying that The Weather Channel unilaterally makes up these names for winter storms and projects that name as something of an official name endorsed by the worldwide meteorological community like hurricanes names are. CBS affiliate WFSB in Connecticut does the same thing (I used to watch them all the time). And, of course, WFSB's name doesn't agree with The Weather Channel's name.

Since WFSB and The Weather Channel have no more authority about naming storms than I do, I've decided that I am going to call it... hmmmm... Winter Storm Squidbert.

So, you need to reask this question as:

No, we got lucky. We were on the eastern edge as it approach our state, we only got a half inch. But other parts of the state, 6-12 inches.

  Izzy came out of Canada in a south east direction and then it swung north up the east coast.

We received 9.1 inches in Southwestern Pennsylvania of snow and we had blowing snow and so lucky the electricity didn't go out, the snow was so heavy it lit the sky up and it looked like it was day outside

We got some snow, sleet and freezing rain, but it didn't really bother us. We stated in most of the weekend and Monday holiday. Driving wasn't too bad, more like driving in the rain.

At home there was about 1-2 inches of snow and ice. I was in florida on vacation an had to adjust my plans. But it’s mostly all melted, now.
