  • 1) You can gain experience with one person too. It's about how much sex you have, not how many people you have it with. Most likely, those in relationships have more sex than the single ones that sleep around.

    2) It's sad you need others to determine your worth.

    3) Still not as good as stories you share with the one you like and care for.

  • I agree... I think people get jelly. You can easily catch stds form being in a relationship since they take weeks to appear and/or get a positive on a test! And people cheat so much at least promiscuous people are honest!

    • Actually statistically promiscuity is terrible and promiscuis people are actually more likely to cheat then non promiscuis people. As for cheating only about 20% of the population will cheat in their life so its not really that many people and that is currently where we encourage people to be promiscuis in a misguided notion that it has no negative repercussions (despite studies showing promiscuis women are more likely to divorce cheat be dissatisfied in long term relationships as well as more likely to experience depression then a non promiscuis woman) and as if purging oneself of impulses gets rid of them rather then causes the brain to create more neural pathways that enevitablly encourage the behavior (hence the above issues).

  • This certainly isn't for me but if having sex with different dudes makes you feel better then go ahead.

  • Actually studies show that women who are promiscuis are less likely to be happy in long term relationships (and be more likely to divorce (1% probability with 1 person, 16% with two) and cheat) and be more likely to suffer from depression and insecurities. Sorry but their is really no good reason to be promiscuis, its actually really detrimental especially for women who are affected by these things to a more extreme degree then men seem to be (not that they themselves are unaffected only that women are more so) and men are less likely to commit to a promiscuis woman, its not to his benefit to do so (both for above reasons as well as the likely hood of raising anothers child which would be time and resource intensive and its for ensuring the survival of anothers genetic line rather then theirs). This results in women not being able to find guys in the future because while they will gladly get sex from them they will be very unlikely to get into a serious relationship with them (as made obvious by the men's responses). Their is no upside to promiscuity, only the many downsides.

  • Good luck with being promiscuous, because almost no guy would want an easy girl for serious relationship anyway, being an slut is for life.

  • There is nothing wrong with being promiscuous, unless it's not for you. Not everyone is cut out for this kind of behavior and if you are one of those people it's best not to be sleeping around.

  • The flip side of that is having full communication, a sense of adventure, experimentation and pleasure seeking with one partner can lead to the same goal of an happy sex life.
